What has a better chance of happening? Rasheed Wallace going to the New York Knicks or Knicks coach Isiah Thomas coming to the Pistons to replace Flip Saunders after this season? Put your money on 'Sheed going to the Knicks, although that's not a sure thing.

Sheed needs to be in a winning environment. NY ain't it! Phx was thrown around last week, and that would be a better fit. But, don't look for more calls to go Phx' way. Sheed to NY could get ugly real fast!

June 11, 2007  09:59 AM ET

Sheed 4 Marion? probably a good one. for him to go to the Knicks, they should trade a couple of players for him.

June 11, 2007  10:13 AM ET

This would be a typical Knicks/Isiah move...high-priced aging veteran on the downside of his career. Please don't!!!!

June 11, 2007  10:24 AM ET

we need leadership in NY, Sheed is a great player but not a leader, he would do some idiotic stuff if he played in NY. Let im go to phoenix.

June 11, 2007  10:39 AM ET

sheed needs a therapist...

June 11, 2007  10:53 AM ET

Hey,what happened to the blame Portland for his behaviour ??
when he left Blazers he was supposed to turn into this different guy..it was all
Portland's fault.
Hummm, guess now it's all Detroit's fault this time??

June 11, 2007  10:56 AM ET

Rasheed Wallace to Houston Rockets, for Shane Battier and Juwan Howard. Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady need help on the offensive end.

June 11, 2007  11:13 AM ET

yeah ROckets ..lets give it a shot a Sheeeed ..they definitely need a power forward to go along with yao ..

June 11, 2007  11:33 AM ET

As a Knick fan, I can say that we need a big man that can block shots and help defensively...something Sheed definitely brings. However, I wouldn't give up Lee for him, which I know the Pistons will ask for. I'd get rid of anyone not named Curry or Lee right now in a Sheed deal...however, Mr. Dumars knows this and of course will ask for David Lee...*sigh*

June 11, 2007  11:51 AM ET

they should get him so detroit wouldnt be a contender anymore. That way all of the Eastern conference would be weak again, since detroit was the only good team out there beside cleveland who is getting their **** handed to them this playoff series

June 11, 2007  11:55 AM ET

Sheed on the knicks might not be a bad thing. He still has a bad rep but the guy has actually mellowed out quite a bit over the years and he's a good teammate. Very unselfish player. It might work, does anyone know how Sheed's contract is. If his contract isn't that bad and we don't have to give up lee, I'd say go for it.

June 11, 2007  12:10 PM ET

The Pistons were not getting there butts waxed robg, they were playing against 5 Cavaliers and 3 referees

June 11, 2007  12:19 PM ET

check out www.hoopshype.com
it has all the salaries of all the players in the league .. broken down by team for the next 4 seasons ...
great tool to have when coming up with possible trades

June 11, 2007  12:38 PM ET

Keep Lee and Curry, Right on the money.

June 11, 2007  01:04 PM ET

sheed on the knicks wont make any diference...he'll just end up influencing the young 'uns..just like bonzi and zach randolph look how well they turned out...

June 11, 2007  02:29 PM ET

Im sorry but Detroit would be making the biggest mistake right now giving up Sheed. His play in the playoffs was good and his frustration came from the lack of effort and decision making from Billups and Rip (oh yeah, Flip's bad coaching)

Hell, trade Billups and RIP for Pierce and one of those young guards

June 11, 2007  02:35 PM ET

Detroit is in an interesting position. If you think the knick need to go to Detroit saying let???s make a deal, you might consider this.
1. Wallace
2. Billups
3. Mcdyess
4. Mohammed
5. Davis
6. Hunter
7. Murry
All of these players are over 30, Hamilton is 29. This is a team that needs to retool. Prince is the only player getting real minutes that is younger. I would like to have Wallace only if I can get him for nothing, or keep him.

The glaring need is for a 3 that can score and defend.

June 11, 2007  03:29 PM ET

I would be building my team around a young point guard if I was detroit. Billups is excellent. But Rasheed is the heart of detroit in my opinion. I would not trade him. How about trading Billups for allen iverson? I believe both teams will be better off getting rid of each even though iverson not very old or young. but If I was Denver Nuggets I wanted a more mature point guard around Carmelo Anthony not a selfish scoring machine. If I was Detroit I would want a selfish scoring machine because their defense and rebounding very strong. Easy to draw fouls which would benefit iverson and detroit.

Knick fan in the house and I think Rasheed wouldn't be a bad deal.. BIGBLUE that wasn't Isiah bringing in the over the hill players if you take notice we probably have one of the youngest teams in the league. We need a older presence on the court but not one to old where he cant contribute and I think we all would agree Rasheed doesn't look like he is on the downside at all. Yeah he has the emotional outburst but so what.. this in NY the town famous for its MOVE GET OUT OF THE WAY attitude..We lost that with Oakley gone and Mason and Starks, guys that laid it all on the court and being that Isiah was the cornerstone of the famous Detroit Bad Boys I know he wants an enforcer on this team..Here's how I would look at this summers potential moves in order of wishfull thinking
1.Kevin Garnett (if possible) no notes needed
2. Ron Artest (enforcer, ball handler,D stopper, Post player, 3point shooter, rebounder)
3.Rasheed Wallace(good D, Post Player, 3point shooter, shot blocker, rebounder, World Champion and Desire (fire!!)
4.Rashaad Lewis(Post player, ball handler, 3point shooter)

I think the knicks should not trade for Sheed..The knicks should just draft the 23rd pick and be done with it this year..Keep the young talent that they do have and wait until some of the high priced contracts are up..Rasheed is in his 30's and taking on his contract will put the knicks futher over the cap..Rasheed would be a good fit for the knicks but i think they should just wait until they free up some cap space in a few years and they will have tons of caproom to sign some allstar free agents..
