Richard Jefferson, Luke Ridnour, Tyronn Lue, Malik Allen, Francisco Elson, Adrian Griffin, Richard Jefferson, Damon Jones, and rookies Joe Alexander and Luc Mbah a Moute are all new Bucks. There is also a new coach, Scott Skiles. The architect of the new Bucks is first-year general manager John Hammond. Through all the changes, key players still left include Michael Redd, Andrew Bogut and ex-Connecticut forward Charlie Villanueva. Redd admitted he is surprised to still be around. "Out of everybody, I'm still here," said Redd, part of the US Olympic team in Beijing. "We have a whole new roster, a whole new group of guys. I was shocked that I remained. "I thought with the rebuilding of the team and the changing of coaches and the organization moving in different ways, I thought I might be gone, too. Hey, I'm here."

In other words, "Why didn't they trade me". I really wanted to leave w/out making a commotion. Why me! Why me! I really wanted to leave. I should have cried wolf while I can. Base on this article, he didn't seem satisfied.

In the end, this team would be a lot better then last year and w/ him in it. This is a very dangerous mix. The team showed their commitment to him and wanting to get better.

When did the league get two Richard Jefferson's?

Whoa, they got a real picture of Michael Redd... I thought maybe they'd put up Mo Williams to balance out their using him on that story...

Don't worry Michael. They'll boot you butt out of there pretty soon too. All those non-clutch performances can add up.

Please explain this to us. I see no similarities between Redd and Jefferson. Redd is one of the premier shooters in the league. Richard Jeffersons are a dime a dozen.

They mention his name twice in the story as if he is two different players. The reference is to the name "Richard Jefferson" in the story.

you must be retarded. he was talking about the first few lines of the article when it cites Richard Jefferson twice.

The Bucks know what they are doing in NOT trading M.Redd. The Bucks have made significant changes here improving their athleticism dramatically, and likely swapping conference standings with New Jersey. With Scott Skiles in charge, they can make a significant jump in the standings, and may be quite an exciting team to watch this season. If they stay healthy, it should be a good season for them.

- Too bad for New Jersey. (All this talk of 'waiting for LeBron...- a waste). -It was a good idea to build your franchsie around to Vince Carter, who's probably thining... "Man, I'm still here..."

Redd is a good specialist (like you can see at Bejing) but you can't build a tem around him! He could be a good sixth man in a ring race team and he is overestimated since NBA is poor of real 3-pointers..

August 18, 2008  11:00 AM ET

Team USA needs to put Michael Redd in there and let him drain some threes earlier than the last 8 minutes of the game!

August 18, 2008  11:13 AM ET

Translation: Damn, I should of been the 1st to be traded. Not them.

August 18, 2008  11:49 AM ET

Thank God. Maybe there is hope for this team for the first time in 35+ years.

August 18, 2008  11:54 AM ET

Damn, with 2 RJ's, the Bucks are going to be serious contenders.

August 18, 2008  12:10 PM ET

Maybe you're still a Buck because other teams around the league are weary of one dimensional players who are making significant $$$ and haven't done a thing to improve your team
