Mizzou better hope they get in synch before the meat of the schedule. A offensive line without an identity will doom a quarterback, Heisman contender or not.

When you lose your 2 big anchors in the offensive line during the off season, and you don't get the new recruits, you can't expect to recover in 1 year.

I highly doubt that, there are 2 reasons. 1.It is going to be in Lincoln this year, and we all know how well you play in Lincoln. 2. Have you heard of the name Bo Pelini?

Bo Pelini is still cooking with someone else's groceries. If I remember correctly Oklahoma State stomped your boys in your house last year. You team is not good and won't be for about four recruiting classes. Will Pelini turn your team around? I hope so. The Big 12 needs good teams so that the SEC does not get all the attention.
Pelini is not being handed a team from the mid 90's. You lost your entire LB group and your D line is not good. You lost key players from your DB group. What is Pelini going to do take the field and play? Get over it and accept the fact that you team is rebuilding. Just hope that getting over Callahan does not take 23 years like it took Missouri to get over Woody Widenhofer.

Native Nebraska whole life, so yeah. I just cant stand mizzou fans that think after one year playing "good" thinking they have done something. Talk to me when you win 5 NC, have 3 Heismans and take over as having the greatest football team(1995). And I m not siding jayhawk fans, i just like the saying. I think kansas will have a bad year as well, so dont fell to bad. As far as Pelini and the Huskers, there is only one thing that Callahan did that was good, which was recruiting talent, his only and big problem was getting them(players) to understand what to do. Example is ND and Charlie Weis. Last year was the worst year to be a Husker fan. There was no motivation, no want, no tradition, no nothing. Talent + lack of motivation + no want + no tradition= 5 - 7 season. But this year there is plenty talent, motivation, want, tradition is back, on both sides of the ball.

Do you remember what happen the last time Pelini was here, he took a "horrible def." and made them into a top 10 def. in less then a year. Standing on the sideline(not playing like you suggest). Up here in Nebraska everybody is already over Callahan.

It is 2008 and your team hasn't sniffed a National Championship in about nine years. Your team does have a storied tradition, that does not translate into an immediate return to success. The fans may be over Callahan but I would venture to say that the effects of his tenure on the program will last a little longer than you expect.

Your team and fan have not ever had a chance to even think, look, or even "sniff" a national championship. Tradition, aleast in Nebraska has every thing to with success, lack there of for 4 years with callahan, since tradition is back no worries, and to think that Nebraska cant come of a disappointing season is just crazy thinking on your part, implyling that you must not be that hard core of a football fan. Back to the real issue, I think that once the line gels our offense will be stellar. If our linebackers stay healthy we are going to have a very good defense. Combine that with our place kicker and we have a shot a special season. Coach P has to keep the foot on the gas every game we play and not let teams back into games in the second half. Our schedule puts us in line for a run. Texas is no gimme even in a not so great year for them. Getting back to the Big 12 championship is the goal and our O-line is going to be the key to that.
