Ocho-Cinco to miss preseason game

Chad Johnson will miss the Bengals third preseason game Saturday after sustaining a sprained left shoulder early in the loss Sunday night to Detroit. The Bengals will play Saturday night in their third preseason game, at home against New Orleans. "I would conservatively say he's not going to play Saturday night," coach Marvin Lewis said. "I think he should be ready for the opener (Sept. 7 at Baltimore). But it's just going to be time on task. He has to gain the strength in the shoulder and how he feels."

*Sigh* Ok, first of all I couldnt be more tired of this idiot and his act. "Tired" is a good word for his act too. And what kind of moron makes his chosen nickname "Ocho Cinco" and doesnt realize that the nuber 85 in Spanish ISNT OCHO CINCO? 8 is ocho. 5 is Cinco. But 85 isnt ocho cinco. What an idiot. Trade him to Buffalo and let him fade into obscurity.

Preseason is a joke.. risk many stars with injury.. play one game with stars and a second for cuts. Training camp clearly shows who belongs.

Ahhhh yes preseason where the only thing that counts are injuries. But couldnt happen to a bigger arse

rumor has it, Johnson tripped over his ego and jammed his shoulder in the fall.

Good one pw

You know Ocho Cinco wanted this! Now he can sit out and just collect his non-winning team's check! 5th Round steal in a FF draft.

Agreed Dr. D. Now he can sit without forfeiting any part of his paycheck.

Chad Johnson's ego has it's own gravitational pull. I bet he gets whacked by asteroids on consistent basis.

Anyone hear him on PTI on ESPN saying he knows guys in the ghetto that can swim better than Michael Phelps...OCHO STINKO even said he could bet Phelps in a swim meet...this guy is nothing but poison in the locker room and an idiot everywhere else.

The Detroit Lions keep up their annual tradition of injuring a Bengals star player in a meaningless preseason game. It really is amazing!

ohh you *******. its true though. i dread the lions pre-season game every year. last years injury, kenny irons, cost the bengals 2007's 2nd pick. he still wasn't able to play this season so the bengals cut him. ><

Yeah, I am sure those "ghetto" guys prefer their current life to winning 8 gold medals and getting millions of $ in endorsements.

Chad Johnson needs a horse to hump him.

I hate to admit it, but I was hoping it was his jaw when I first heard the news.

"I hate to admit it, but I was hoping it was his jaw when I first heard the news."

Lifelong Bengals fan, and I can't think of a more perfect injury for Chad to sustain. A wired shut jaw for 10-12 weeks would do wonders.
