QB Steffy will start for Maryland

Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen and offensive coordinator James Franklin went around and around over who should be the Terps' No.1 quarterback, and yesterday morning Friedgen announced that senior Jordan Steffy is the man. What it came down to was statistical performance. Steffy has been the best quarterback in camp and will lead the Terps into their season opener Aug.30 against Delaware. So the camp-long, three-way competition among Steffy and juniors Chris Turner and Josh Portis is over, but Friedgen said he foresees all three playing this season.

Save the golf cart!

I thought Steffy had a bad concussion so he couldn't play anymore

Yeah, Ralph must of either sat on his head or accidently ran over him with a golf cart.

Friedgen is the older, fater, and less cool version of Van Wilder

It is not the golf cart that needs saving, look at the thing on the golf cart. Did you know thousands of Whlaes die every year due to Charlie Weis jumping in the water without checking for whales under him, save the whale.

He's about 40 more lbs away from a Rascal

Big mistake. They would be much better off going with Portis or Turner. This kid Steffy cannot play the QB position. Good athlete but terrible QB.

Ralph needs to get rid of the golf cart and start walking............Also work a salad into the mix..........

JHOVA, I think it is the best choice. I say always go with the best athlete. Do you know who Dennis Dixon is? During his Junior season when Oregon came to Pullman we tore him up. He got benched for leaf in 4th quarter. Fastforward to last year...he was the most dynamic QB in the nation. Only an injury kept him from the Heisman & National Championship. Athleticism cannot be developed, but your football knowledge and ability to manage the game can. If he can get his head into it, the kid can tear teams apart with his ability.
