The SMU quarterback derby reached a stunning conclusion Monday. Ultimately, execution overruled experience. Coach June Jones announced that Bo Levi Mitchell and Braden Smith, both true freshmen, would be the top two quarterbacks on the depth chart as the Mustangs prepare for their season opener at Rice on Aug. 29. Assistant head coach/offense Dan Morrison, Jones' right-hand man in evaluating quarterbacks, said Mitchell is the No. 1 for now. Justin Willis, a junior who has started 22 of the last 23 games and holds the school record with 51 career touchdown passes, is the third-stringer.

I guess Willis just isn't made for the offense. I can't wait to see what a 4 year starter in June Jones offense can do.

It seems like some of you enjoy your little jokes more than actually blogging about college football. I can agree with his decision. Alex Brink set many school records here at WSU. Aside from the fact he won 3 apple cups for us, he should not of started. Stats are worthless without wins to show for them.
