Selanne return tied to Sundin

Nevermind Where's Teemu? The question is Where's Sundin? If you've been waiting patiently for Teemu Selanne to make a decision about playing this season, you are aware that his situation is tied into Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin. The dominos fall like this: Assuming Selanne will return for a 16th season, the Ducks can't construct his contract until they free up salary cap space, presumably by shedding defenseman Mathieu Schneider and his $5.5 million contract. But suitors for Schneider hinge on what teams are left out of the race to sign Sundin. That is, assuming Sundin decides to play this season.

Well, that's what we get when we ask for creativity. It's all WTNelson's fault :)

I understand that Obama and McCain are waiting for him to sign before picking running mates
note to Hank: that's it for politics for now...

I apologize, Seabird. At least they obliged my request for creativity, but they didn't listen when I said NEXT WEEK.

Whaaatttt??? This one's got to be THE most ridiculous Sundin article in T&R yet!

August 21, 2008  12:06 PM ET

The article assumes anyone would want to pay 5.5 million for an over the hill, end of his career, declining defenseman. Hay Matthew, don't call us...we won't call you.

Oh look, a double whammy. Two indecisive Scandinavians for the price of one. And a convoluted story to boot. Some might say that's good value for money, but what I say is:

F@%& YOU, T&R
