Sixers hope to extend Miller

Sixers president Ed Stefanski had hoped to discuss a possible contract extension with the agent for point guard Andre Miller. There is one problem -- Miller doesn't have an agent. Miller, who has one year and $10 million left on his deal, is no longer represented by Lon Babby. The Sixers wouldn't mind adding another season or two onto that contract, but the lack of an agent could make that difficult.

The 76ers should do resign him right away. He has proven his worth and he is very steady. If they wait then the more he will become expensive. It's cheaper to sign him now then later. Players when they are getting older want stability and the sure thing. Longer contract would benefit more unless you are a superstar.

I like miller....good solid ballplayer-
but in reality he isn't a superstar-type player-
if he can be resigned for similar $ for 2 years- I would do it-
But NOT for bigger $ or more years.....

He was ok in Denver and is ok in Philly

Why not sit down with Miller and work it out? Arenas negotiated his own contract. I hear it worked out pretty well.

Take advantage of him while he doesn't have an agent!

All Miller has to do is hire a lawyer for the negotiations themselves. Several NBA players have done so in the past or, he could call Arenas and offer him the standard fee (ha, ha).

He's a solid player but he's not getting 10 mill a year again.

i think he is good and a solid player but i think he would understand to negotiate a cheaper contract to get some cap space keep him philly

I would, he is solid

Miller plays well but I don't think its a fluke or bad luck that he's played on 4 different NBA teams. All-Star caliber winning point guards don't change teams that often.

He put up 16 and 11 with Cleveland, but those days are long gone.
He's a good point guard who is good at scoring, but isn't selfish.

Please see: Jason Kidd.

Plenty of good, and even great, players have been on more than a handful of teams. And i'm not talking about just point guards. I'm not saying that Andre Miller is on the same level as Shaq or Barkley, but those guys were on a few teams and they're pretty damn good.

Miller is a solid PG, although i don't think he's worth $10 mil/year.
