A's go with all-lefty rotation

Oakland made two moves on Thursday and made history twice. The A's placed starters Justin Duchscherer and Sean Gallagher on the disabled list, making 23 DL uses this season, an Oakland record that represents 693 games missed through Thursday. At the same time, Dana Eveland and Dan Meyer came up from Triple-A Sacramento to fill in - giving Oakland its first-ever all-left-handed five-man rotation. The A's had a four-man lefty rotation in 1973, with Vida Blue, Ken Holtzman, Paul Lindblad and Darold Knowles starting a 13-game stretch.

Hopefully they get the Yankees a few more times. They are bad against southpaws.

Did someone bring Finley back to life? How much weirder can it get in Oakland these days ...

I tried to go "lefty" once - found out you can't get a good arse wiping lefthanded - too much residue !!!

So far, dealing Haren and Harden seems to have benefited the D-Backs and Cubs more than it has Oakland.

Maybe Beane should have dealt Duchscherer before the trade deadline?

...who cares?...

Indeed. But if I had to have a triple-A rotation of all righties or all lefties, I'd pick the portsiders.
