Dumars backs Pistons coach
Joe Dumars remains steadfast in his support of Flip Saunders. That doesn't mean he gave him a free pass for the Pistons' collapse in the Eastern Conference finals. Dumars said he was holding Saunders to the same mandate he gave to the players -- play with a sense of urgency. Complacency will not be tolerated.

I'm not sure what people saw in Minnesota to hire him, and I'm not sure what Detroit sees now. At this point, it is what it is with Flip. He coaches like an underdog, and you don't get the sense his teams are strong enough to pull it out.

I agree with you on this one K11, I didn't ever see Flip Saunders as a desirable head coach let alone one for a premier franchise.
BigBooth-AI isn't the answer. Get rid of Billups and Rip? Come on now. That'd continue the slide to irrelevance for this team. Billups should be re-upped, he is Mr. Big Shot.
