Kim overcomes bee stings
Anthony Kim, who backed up his opening-round 70 with a five-under-par 67, was actually in worse shape on Thursday than originally reported. Kim, who was stung on the leg by a bee at the third hole and had two bees fly up his pant leg three holes later, needed to take Benadryl to treat an allergic reaction to the sting. He had a similar reaction two years ago when stung. "I had a little bit of a hard time breathing, swallowing," said Kim. "So I was trying to drink a lot of water and my leg kind of swelled up. My calf still hurts. It's not painful. It just feels like there's a rock in there. It's fine." Kim, tied for sixth, felt good about his chances and was not concerned about further encounters with stinging insects. "When you're in a golf tournament, you really don't care, because there's $10 million waiting for you at the end of this tunnel," Kim said. "So, that's kind of what I'm looking at."
