Did Manny stiff clubhouse tips?

Stories of Manny Ramirez busting his hump running out ground balls and having charitable deductions taken out of his paycheck - according to Los Angeles Times columnist T.J. Simers - are all pretty amusing. One visiting clubhouse guy told me that Ramirez would often conveniently forget to tip the staff, and teammates would have to chip in and cover for him.

This comes as no suprise to me. He is a low life bunghole who must have forgotten about the little people because his over inflated ego prevents him for throwing the guy who brings him food in the clubhouse a bone. He is scum.

Good Luck LA, give him a boatload of money

Times are tough, the guy's most likely on a pretty tight budget. Give the poor guy a break.

The staff gets tips? What kind of professional sports organization pays their staff so low they have to work for tips?

Manny still owes me a buck....

We were in adjoining stalls at Fenway dropping a deuce, the TP dispenser in my stall was empty. I asked Manny to hand my some paper under the divider. He said his was low, but he would give me five singles for a fiver....

The SOB only gave me four ones!

I liked Manny but after a while Manny being Manny just got old. He is what is wrong w/sports, He is a selfish player and whatever team he plays for it will always be Manny for Manny that's it. Good Luck

Hey, back off, that is one of the all time great Red Sox stars you are talking about. Show a little respect to a man who was revered ( nice touch, huh? ) in Beantown.

This is another ridiculous tidbit from another ridiculous Northeast media source supporting my comment in the string about Manny the other day (which of course I got grilled over).Get over it Boston. He's gone, not coming back, and finally able to play baseball in a better region of the country.

August 24, 2008  10:50 AM ET

LA Times & Boston Globe please just let go man it make no sense arguing over what Manny said it over he's in LA now this is like 5 year olds fighting.
