Barclays' Caddyshack moment

The FedEx Cup playoffs opened with a "Caddyshack" moment. While stately Ridgewood Country Club will certainly never be confused with fictitious Bushwood, a gopher - or was it a mole? - made a cameo appearance Sunday on the final hole of Vijay Singh's playoff victory in The Barclays. After Singh topped Sergio Garcia's 27-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole with a 26-footer, the furry critter entered the scene on the 577-yard, par-5 17th.

So the queebs say there was a gopher - but not how it affected Sergio's drop. Stupid queebs !!

Sergio was totally screwed because his ball landed behind a big tree. But because of little known "Rule 25 -- the gopher hole rule" he was allowed to take a nice drop so that he at least had a chance to hit the green. Unfortunately for Sergio big bad VJ was already on the green in 2.

Good for Vijay and Sergio. Maybe these guys will remember that they know how to play golf.
