The Milwaukee Bucks no longer have Yi Jianlian on their roster but they are heading to China in October to play two exhibition games. League sources have confirmed that the Bucks and Golden State Warriors will play in the 2008 China Games, with games scheduled during the week of Oct. 12 in Guangzhou and Beijing.

Wow...who cares about those two teams? The Chinese want to see Kobe.

Not a big deal here but any NBA team is a big deal in China. The Chinese fans are very knowledgeable w/ the NBA and any NBA team for them is still great. Any NBA players are still considered stars there.

Who really cares?

They have no Yi but Joe Alexander does speak Mandarin so I am certain he is going to be a big part in the media coverage of this game.

This was probably scheduled when Yi was still on the roster. The NBa should try to get the Rockets to play the Lakers in China. That game would bring the fans to the stadium.

It was scheduled when Yi was on the roster. So not having him there will probably take some luster off of the game.

Yeah this game sux!!! The NBA needs to a big Marquee game to break that market!! How about the Lakers- Celtics rematch!!!

August 25, 2008  11:19 AM ET

No way the NBA would give a potentially great game like Lakers-Celts to an overseas location.

C-Smith are you slow?
Milwaukee has 2 Olympians on the team Bogut and Redd, plus a rookie who lived in China, and the Warriors are one of the most exciting teams in the league and have a strong Chinese following in the Bay Area. The game will sell out in a flash.
Get a clue or get off these boards.

The Warrior following is going to be gone. Baron Davis left, Matt Barnes is gone, Jason Richardson left last season... this team was a 1 year playoff team and now there done. Then you need to figure that Yi is not on the BUCKS! Redd didnt play much in the Olympics, so they probably wont care about that either. Oh Bogut was also a disappointment in the Olympics,

Why the hell do we continue to reward one of the worst human-rights violators in the world with major sporting events? I wonder how many people in Tibet and Darfur will be watching this game. This is disgusting.

August 25, 2008  07:01 PM ET

C-Smith is slow and Joe Dew knows nothing about Warrior fans.

eyesWIDEopen - I agree. But David Stern doesn't care - he just wants that dollar-dollar-bill.

wordup - let us not compare credentials, Sir. The results might cause your head to combust.

August 25, 2008  07:03 PM ET

And to Lex - your Warriors comment? No. Exciting teams play in something called the Playoffs.

August 25, 2008  09:03 PM ET

Thank you these idots have no clue what they are talking about, yeah in case you guys can remember the warriors made the playoffs two years ago, and just missed out last year. O yeah along with them being known as easily one of the most fun to watch teams, you guys ever follow sports at all? Yeah you guys don't so don't comment, and instead do your history. Maybe if you did you would know for yourself that the warriors are one of the most exciting teams, and i know many true fans, and journalist would agree you would know if you watched tv, or read the news every once in a while cause you would have heard that or read it also from the best in the biz.
