Are Brady's crutches practical joke?

Following up on quarterback Tom Brady, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported last night that Brady's injury is a deep bone bruise on his right foot. Mortensen's report came on the "Monday Night Countdown" program. When media members filed into the Patriots' locker room today, a pair of crutches was seen in Brady's locker, one day after a walking boot was spotted there. Don't jump to conclusions, however. Members of the offensive line have been known to play practical jokes with Brady, while Brady himself is often quick with a prank.

Exactly. The Pats lost the biggest game ever. They choked. There was nothing funny about that moment. Giddy and gay at one moment and then really sad the next. They really were the big losers....last year.

The fondest memory for me will always be the Punk Seau thinking he's about to get the ring and having it ripped right off his finger.........

August 27, 2008  07:07 AM ET

And this is a story because............?

August 27, 2008  07:33 AM ET

WHOA! THE PATRIOTS LIE ABOUT THEIR INJURY REPORT??? WHEN DID THIS BECOME A STORY?

oh
wait
When Belicheck became a coach it did

SDChargerFan I could not agree with you more after all of his huffing and puffing seeing Seau's face when the clock ran down to double zero was priceless

I watched the 2007 NFL special on the Pats last night on ESPN. Was so disappointed they didn't show any highlights from the Super Bowl. I watched the whole thing just to see highlights from the big game,

Major Letdown, But then again, so were the 2007 Pats

He isnt going to play much this year.......read between the lines.

August 27, 2008  08:12 AM ET

He'll play but they won't be the Patroits we have known
for the last few years....which is good for the rest of the NFL
teams....Later Pat's....

Brady and the Pats make me sick. There is no way he misses playing time and for all we know he probably isn't even hurt at all. How many weeks in a row has he been probable with a sore right shoulder.....

August 27, 2008  08:50 AM ET

That would be nice if he was really truely having foot pains but im pretty sure it is so he can rest. He needs lots of time to study all the illegal films from last year. You know the ones they turned in a copy to

August 27, 2008  09:00 AM ET

Should I tell about the time I gave my little brother a hotfoot? Boy, that was a real humdinger, I can tell you.

August 27, 2008  09:01 AM ET

Brady is going to be fine. What the Pats need to worry about is getting back to the playoffs because they are not going to rout these AFC teams like they did last year.

August 27, 2008  09:06 AM ET

All you jealous Pats haters out there crack me up! Keep on hatin' cuz the Pats will be beating your team again this year on the way back to the Superbowl!

Oh, so that was a practical joke his offensive line played on him during the Super Bowl. HAHA it was really funny!

August 27, 2008  09:18 AM ET

The beginning of the end?

August 27, 2008  09:21 AM ET

Giselle is rough in bed. The crutches have nothing to do with a football injury.

August 27, 2008  09:21 AM ET

The real practical joke begins when Lynch replaces the real crutches with rubber ones.

"Hey guys...watch this"

*Brady flops down sideways on the field.*
