Glades Central (Fla.) receiver Rantavious Wooten confirmed to the AJC this evening that he intends to announce his commitment to Georgia or LSU on Friday. Wooten, who says he made up his mind on Monday, intends on keeping the winning program in suspense until late Thursday.

"Wooten, who says he made up his mind on Monday, intends on keeping the winning program in suspense until late Thursday."

I'm sure both programs are sweating bullets while waiting for this HISTORIC announcement. Seriously, the "intends on keeping the winning program in suspense" part must be a fabrication by the writer. I'm sure whichever school gets the kid will be elated; as for the other school, I don't think they'll lose any sleep over it while they are collecting other top recruits.

I think he is coming to UGA, for a couple of reasons. Really hit it off in his visit to Athens and is a perfect fit with the other receivers they have and have coming. UGA usually plays 4-6 receivers a game so with graduation he has a decent shot at receiving playing time immediately as an every down receiver which UGA needs right now. He is in the mold of Sean Bailey and Terrence Edwards so the DAWGS are pretty excited about him.

I am glad he has his top 2 schools being LSU and UGA. Smart kid, go somewhere where you can win in a elite program. Have chances to win Championships. Would it hurt LSU if he chosen UGA, no. Other way around would it hurt UGA if he chosen LSU, no. like DO WORK SON said we want be sweating bullets. Wooten alreadu knows.

Whatever, we'll see. If we are going to get a receiver I hope we get Rueben Randle. We already got Kenny Bell so Randle would be the capstone for this class.

Rantavious, wow his mom was creative!

Either team he goes to, he can be rest assured he will be a on team that if they meet Ohio State in the National Championship game, he is gauranteed a win.

"ist not dawgs its dogs...... sic em dogs.."

Ugh...please just stick with OSU...we don't need you over here. And the correct spelling is Dawg.

August 27, 2008  02:12 PM ET

Rory you coming to Baton Rouge for the game?

August 27, 2008  02:41 PM ET

"Dawg" is "dog" with a southern drawl (about 2-4 vowel sounds packed into one spot).

Hey LSUDYNASTY...you know it, I've already got my brother working on getting us tickets. He told me I'll need a private security team if I decide to wear black and red. But I was always kind of a thrill seeker...I'm sure I'll hear my fair share of "tiger bait, tiger bait, tiger bait" throughout the tail gate. By the way, you guys have the best tailgates hands down!!!! I'm serious, no one does it better with food than cajuns.

Hey RORY.
It is going to be a tough ticket to get. The emails have already started flying around a few weeks back for LSU people looking for Georgia tickets. I really think your best bet is stubhub (i would avoid ebay for tickets, but thats just me). Yes it may cost a little more than face value ($50 is face value - but many include their LSUTAF fees when they sell tickets so really face value to us TAF members is about $75 - $100), but it's worth it knowing you have a real ticket to a great game.

Last time Georgia came to town there were 100,000 tailgating by 7am. I know because I was there at 4am setting up and cooking breakfast, and as we were feeding the cops they told us so!!! LSU football is a religion down here, and tailgating is just as much of a religion. I'm expecting another HUGE turnout and HUGE game. Just as long as you are not a $hitty fan, all the tiger bait's are just in good fun.

I was supposed to go to Athens the last time we played up there (game ya'll whooped us at). The group of guys I was supposed to go with got into a big brawl with some Georgia fans who started some $hit with them. So as long as you are not one of those kind, it will be a very good time. There are some idiot LSU fans (as with every school), but for the most part you will have a great time tailgating, and all the tigerbaits will be followed by a smile and a plate of food and a beer. Thanks for the tailgating props. That will be a great game. I hope it's a night game!

Well, I went to two different sites (rivals.com,espn) and they both list him @ 5-10 158lbs

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitI d=63895&season=2009

http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=82876&Sp ort=1

..but you know they always exaggerate these players sizes

August 28, 2008  02:31 PM ET

Thanks LSU...I'll definitely look into stubhub....the one unfortunate thing with a number one preseason ranking in the SEC...is that you have to practically sell your soul to get tickets.

No worries, I'm not one of those fans. I've been to a few LSU games since my father gets season tickets...alas, he's not giving one of those LSU UGA ones up. Which I totally understand. I'll wear my colors...but I certainly won't be shouting insults at any of the LSU faithful...I'll just let my team do it on the field ;) Good luck this season LSU!

Good luck to you too Rory.
