Hank Steinbrenner promises changes

With the Yankees' postseason hopes slipping away, Hank Steinbrenner made a rare appearance in The Bronx last night and issued a warning. "There's going to be a lot going on this offseason," Steinbrenner said shortly before the Yankees hosted the Red Sox. "I promise you that." And things didn't get any better after he saw them get clobbered, 11-3, to fall seven games behind Boston in the wild-card race and 10 1/2 games south of Tampa Bay in the AL East. "I'm very disappointed," Steinbrenner said upon exiting the Stadium. "The bottom line is, they [stunk]." Like father, like son.

Great. Wow. Big deal. ****? Maybe it is Steinbrenner that stinks? How about that one. Stupid moves, bad decisions. Think about some of the moves....they suck. Getting rid of Toree? Where's the mystique? Look in the mirror and scream!!

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH Steinbrenner...until you realize that every teams need role players to fit into the grand scheme of things, the Yanks will not win again or even be serious contenders. You can't just spend money carelessy like in the past...it's just not working anymore Hank!

What changes? You mean like NOT paying out the rear for another Pavano? That would be a good change for ya, Hank ...

Well, I think we can all agree that it's been a tough time of rebuilding for the Yankees, and we're all grateful that they will finally have some money freed up to improve the team.

When George spoke, he usually backed up his words by firing someone on the spot or bannishing them to the minors.....this clown doesn't have the authority so his threats are empty.

And then George would take the best players in the farm system and trade them for a washed up, overpaid outfielder thinking if he paid him more the guy would get better.
Let's not start waxing poetic about George. If he hadn't been throw out of the sport in the early ninties he would have traded Petitte, Bernie. Posada and Mariano.

"BOMBERS BLITZED IN THE BRONX"

Well now..where do we begin?...

Who will pay the price for.....

Nixing the trade for Santana which would have given up Hughes (0-4 ERA of 9.0, Kennedy (0-4 ERA of 8.17), another player and cash...for one of the penultimate starting pitchers in MLB?
