Arizona lands forward recruit
Darnell Shumpert knows he probably won't crack Arizona's starting lineup, but the former Santa Rita High star is grateful for the chance to play for the Wildcats. The 6-foot-8 forward signed a scholarship offer Wednesday to play for UA, a week after saying he was headed to Laurinburg Institute prep school in North Carolina. Over the summer, he was offered scholarships at George Washington, UNLV, Oregon State, St. Mary's (Calif.) and Alabama-Birmingham.
