Manning feels good after practice

So far, so good. That was the assessment of coach Tony Dungy on Wednesday regarding the progress of Peyton Manning. The Indianapolis Colts quarterback participated in a full-squad practice for the first time Tuesday. He threw to running backs and receivers in one-on-one drills, worked on throwing on the run and did other position-specific exercises. More important than how Manning performed in his initial work after undergoing surgery on his left knee July 14 was how the knee responded to that work the next day.

He feels good after practice because they all when out for brewski's. The Colts are going to be a force to be reconded with this year. Miami, not so much.

The Cleveland Browns will rise to the heights of elite NFL teams this year: Mark my words! Soon, wel will uproot the Colts and Patriots as the AFC elite!

August 28, 2008  05:08 PM ET

I'm not shocked, Manning is a tough player that and the fact he doesn't want to start all over again trying to get the most starts without missing a game.

August 28, 2008  10:58 PM ET

Sorry jugheadwill... the Browns are decent now, but if there's ANY AFC team that will some day be uprooting the AFC elite, it'll be the Jags.
