Which Terps coach is on hot seat?

To answer your question, no, it is not too much to ask a team that has won a national championship to reach the NCAA tournament in more than half of the next six seasons. That is Gary Williams' fault. He raised that bar. Without 2002, or the Final Four in 2001, he would have much more reasonable expectations to live with. That's what separates the disappointments of Ralph Friedgen's Terps football program, from those of Williams' men's basketball program. Friedgen actually buys himself some slack for not taking them into Florida State territory. Williams set the Duke-North Carolina stratosphere as the target and then reached it.

would it kill these college coaches to eat a salad or skip a meal and run around the track every once in a while?
that guy needs a golf cart about as much as he needs a gallon milkshake...

I think Williams has a little more leeway but both of them definitely deserve to be on the hot seat.

Somebody better re-enforce the hot seat if old Ralph is on it.

It's easier to sell a basketball recruit on an ACC school, than a football recruit... unless we're talking about my Noles or Miami, then it's the opposite.

I thought the selling point for FSU was the proximity of the campus to the Foot Locker stores. :P

I wonder where all of the small minds whining about over weight people are? I keep seeing the "fat" comments about Coach Weis but nothing (or very few) comments about this guy from Maryland...even worse is the man from Kansas...these guys are truly in trouble and need to help themselves but the whiney birds are just proving their small minds are still in place.
