Sources: Meszaros deal not done yet

While The Hockey News reported on its website that Ottawa Senators defenseman Andrej Meszaros has agreed to terms on a contract "in excess of $5 million" per season with another team, two league sources insisted that no formal offer sheet has been filed with the NHL.

Tampa gave away too much in this trade and their defense will still stink. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

If the Bolts' defense remains in its current shape, this year it will stink but in long tern they may benefit nicely. Meszaros, Ranger and Carle are still in their early 20's and have already shown some signs of talent.
With Roberts, Recchi, Ouellet, Gratton, Ouellet, Ward and Kolzig unsigned thorugh the next season, they'll have a lot of money to sign another corps of FAs in the next offseason. I expect Tampa to be a true force in the league in 2009-10.
