Jets fan looking for seat sponsor
Howard Freeman, a sports event marketer, said he was testing one way out of paying the high cost of two expensive Jets personal seat licenses: selling their naming rights. "If teams can sell naming rights to buildings, entryways and portals, why not for my seats?" asked Freeman, of Wayne, N.J., who has had Jets season tickets for 32 years. He envisions placing temporary signage on the seats and offering a sponsor benefits like product sampling rights at his pregame tailgate, free consulting and event marketing, the right of first refusal to buy unused game tickets and a guarantee that those who sit in the seat will wear the sponsor's logo. "I think a company that gets it will understand the p.r. value," he said. Freeman said he has not consulted his lawyer or asked the Jets about his plan. But his idea raises a pertinent question about the extent of a licensee's rights: If P.S.L.'s confer the rights to transfer or sell seats, would they let him display signage?

Bond, you make jokes, but I have heard of people getting logos tattooed as a way for marketing, I think this guy is pretty smart.
By the way people, it's The Meadowland, not Jets stadium.

Look, dude, if you can't afford the tickets, don't buy them. It keeps the riff-raff out. Man, its REALLY bad when a Jets fan stands head and shoulders above other Jets fans for being an idiot.

If this man can get a company to buy is seats and give him free products to use during tailgating, then more power to him... That's one smart man in my book... You're just a hater.

The only reason Ferry Jones is getting a new stadium is he does not want the Giants to have a better stadium than the cowgirls.

That is actually a pretty good idea but I doubt the Jets will be too happy with it seeing as how they get none of the revenue.

I am very grateful for season ticket holders. If not for them, games could be blacked out and I would have to spend money to watch a sporting event. That is just something I will not do anymore. I'll put up with commercials and annoying announcers like Joe Buck rather than spend one red cent on a ticket, a watered down beer or a soggy hot dog. Not to mention the parking. Just wait until owners start charging admission to use the rest room. Don???t laugh.

Well maybe if the Jets were a "sound investment" I would consider this proposal but, alas, they are a gint fiscal risk - decline !!!

In theory- it would be a great concept.
But the problem is that you are SITTING in the seat....
who is going to see your logo?
My question with the PSL is that if lets say you give your tix away
or scalp them...........and the person you give them to gest thrown out.
I know season ticekt holders can LOSE their seats........
Would you lose your PSL?
