Falcons players Matt Ryan, D.J. Shockley and Brian Finneran were involved in a minor car accident on the way to practice Wednesday morning. Ryan, the Falcons' rookie quarterback, was driving his vehicle with Shockley and Finneran as passengers when they were hit by another vehicle, according to a Falcons representative. The vehicle suffered minor damage, and the three players were uninjured.

August 29, 2008  06:59 AM ET

Probally Shockley.. where was Matt seated???...HMMMMMMMMMM

August 29, 2008  07:46 AM ET

Hit by another vehicle, eh? Typical fender bender I suppose.

August 29, 2008  07:56 AM ET

okkkayyyyy..

August 29, 2008  07:59 AM ET

If things can not get worse for the team.

August 29, 2008  08:01 AM ET

Wow, what huge news. I, for one, am truly amazed that they walked away unscathed. I mean, I know they are professional football players, and couldn't possibly be in better shape.....but when a CAR comes away with "minor damage", I mean, just think what would have happened to the players if they hadn't been in that giant piece of protective metal when they got hit.....it really makes you think.

Wait until he gets hit by Derrick Brooks, then we'll see if he's left uninjured

August 29, 2008  08:10 AM ET

The article failed to mention the driver of the other car : Joey Harrington.

August 29, 2008  08:24 AM ET

Wow! Now that is a story, because there was some question about their QBs being OK before the crash. LOL>
No, I think Ryan will be a very good QB and definitely the right choice.

"Ryan, the Falcons' rookie quarterback, was driving his vehicle"

You guys just don't effing read.

August 29, 2008  08:44 AM ET

C-Smith, i think they were saying that those ex-players were driving the "OTHER" vehicle... You know, SARCASM..... Come on now, catch up...

August 29, 2008  09:46 AM ET

OK, what kind of coach lets all three of his QBs ride in the same car? You don't see the president, vice president and speaker of the house in the same vehicles do you?

August 29, 2008  09:47 AM ET

Hooah05, lol, you're funny... are you serious?

August 29, 2008  09:50 AM ET

The Joey Comment was funny. But true to his on the field performance he only made a minor impact! Ryan will get hit constantly this season. I just hope he does not turn into Joey or David Carr!

August 29, 2008  09:52 AM ET

Hooah05, Finneran is a WR.

August 29, 2008  01:15 PM ET

That will be a cakewalk compared to the damage Ryan's gonna recieve this season behind that suspect offensive line.

August 29, 2008  02:01 PM ET

wow that woulda been priceless if none of them could play
