Predators wait for owner approval
Prospective owner Jim Balsillie would like his bid to purchase the Predators to be approved as soon as possible so that he would have more time to deal with personnel matters prior to the July 1 opening of the unrestricted free-agent market. Seven Predators, including Peter Forsberg, Scott Hartnell, Paul Kariya and Kimmo Timonen, could become unrestricted free agents that day.
