The signs indicated that Glades Central (Fla.) receiver Rantavious Wooten was leaning toward Georgia. But he pulled a mild surprise today by revealing that he has committed to the defending national champions. "It's LSU," Wooten wrote in a text message to Scout.com.

Hey, they took the page for the article off the site. Now I am interested...Wonder what Rantavious means....Is the root rant, or ant? It could be like the Romans Octavius? nah...

That was an ok pickup, but the best receiver since Deonte Thompson (UF) is at the "U" Travis Benjamin (4.26 - 40)

It's going to take this poor kid an hour to sign an autograph!

Rantavious is from the DUtch root word RANT, meaning to to talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner; Tavious is Latin, thus it means to speak noisily in a latin accent. Just Kidding.
If this guy turns out to be good, it will not take long for a sportscaster to call him Rant and Rave.

As usual, let's wait to see when he signs on the dotted line....

I've seen this guy on tape. If I could play like him, I wouldn't worry about my "ghetto" name. They'll get it right at the bank.

he should have signed with illinois and they could have completed the weird name squad with juice williams and arrelious benn

LSU already has a Kentravis and a Lazarius, and may sign a Barkevious, so he'll fit right in.

He's quicker than he is fast, but has good acceleration and catches the ball well. He could be good as a slot receiver to match up against LBs and safeties.

I am happy I can accept folks' names for what they are. Right now I'd love for the Tigers to get a commitment from a phenomenal RB out of Texas named Christine Michael. As Christine (pronounced chris-tin) Michael would say, "It's my name." Whatever you say man, we'll honor it at LSU. Come join us.

Lloyd, LSU 74,78

When they put on that LSU uniform, we don't care what name they go by. Now if LSU can get Rueben Randle, Jamarcus McFarland, Christine Michael, and B. Mingo and a coupe of others they may just finish # 1 in recruiting.

Wick: With a name like Christine that will be like a boy named Sue. He must be a mean son of a gun.
