Robinho wants out of Madrid
Robinho has stated that he has told Real Madrid that he wants to leave and believes that the club is only trying to keep him because it has failed to buy a replacement. The Brazilian forward held a personally arranged press conference on Sunday after being left out of the squad to face Deportivo and took a swipe at Los Merengues.

Robinho, at no point, took a swipe at his teammates. That needs to be made clear. He did, however, take shots at Calderon, Mijatovic, and Schuster; which is to be expected.
What goes around comes around and instead of building a team from within - like every merengue fans has begged them to do since the stadium was named Bernabeu - Real Madrid's front office insists on buying their way to the top. Case in point, on the same day that Robinho is calling press conferences and Madrid's front line is going into Riazor - "press" is pointing out that Schuster wants David Villa.
Ridiculous. Valencia is not small enough to jump at the millions Madrid would throw at them for Villa and Villa himself is already a national team regular. He is getting all the fame and fortune he needs.
I don't agree with Robinho leaving but I understand completely why he wants to leave. In teir quest to be the biggest name in soccer, by building a the most extensive roster, Real Madrid has looked like a spoiled brat.

This has turned ugly. No one gains anything from this. I hope Mijatovic and Calderon learn from this, but they probably won't. Hey, at least Javi Garcia and Ruben De La Red are staying. I wish Granero and Balboa would have stayed also.
What angers me even more is this whole conference B.S. while we should be focusing on trying to win in Riazor (Coruna's stadium), where we haven't won in nearly two decades.

Just let him go. If Chelsea wants him bad enough they will offer the money. Let's move on from this saga, please?

I love that Calderon has said that Chelsea isn't conducting themselves right in this situation. This guy is making a great club look like fools between this and the Ronaldo drama over the summer. What a jackhole.
I for one would like to see him at the Bridge, but I am biased.

It is the time to sell Robinho. madrid only plays with one winger and Royston Drenthe is going to have a break out year.

Good point, Royston Drenthe is more of a winger than a fullback. Good point

I mean, it's not like Chelsea haven't made a fair offer or anything. That Calderon had the audacity to accuse Chelsea of comporting themselves less than honourably tells you everything you need to know about him. There are few people in football more despicable than Calderon.
Chelsea have offered a huge amount of money for a player he managed to unsettle when he went after Ronaldo. At this point it looks like Calderon is just trying to save face, and really it's not working at all. He just looks like a bigger idiot.

I find it hilarious that Schuster comes out today and says "I looked to my left and didn't see one forward."
Then maybe Schuster shouldn't have sent Robert Soldado and Dani Parejo packing or, barring injury, perhaps he should have brought Javier Saviola along.
This loss rests with Schuster.

Hopefully, Robinho will restore the faith of the fans by scoring and will be an integral part of the team for the entire season.

Dani Parejo was a mistake and the brass knew it. He played well in the two preseason games he started but the loan to QPR was already set.

Yeah, I think that we know that he wants out at this point. I'm hoping that he stays away from Chelsea but you never know if he'll be any good with them so it might be best if they buy him and he plays bad.

There are alot of very good points made in the posts. Calderon amongst others, is making a joke out of a proud franchise. It's complete nonsense for him to criticize Man U for not releasing CR, then he turns around and does the same. Personally, I'd like to see Robinho get shipped out. He's become a distraction and a cancer.
Which brings me to the most disturbing aspect of this story. Over the past few years, the players and their enormous egos have grown completely out of control. So Robinho's feelings were hurt because Madrid wanted to leverage him to try and get CR. Guess what guys, you are paid MILLIONS to be an asset to your team, whether on the field or on paper. If you don't like it, play 3rd division football for a couple thousand euros per week where they will kiss your spoiled *** and would never consider severing a limb before letting you go.
All the skill in the world can't hide a lack of character.
