Pettitte 'looking for a miracle'

For all of the 10 seasons prior to 2008 that Andy Pettitte has worn pinstripes, he could pretty much count on working through October. When the leaves started changing, Pettitte was consistently one of the Bombers' stalwarts throughout the postseason, starting in 31 Yankee playoff games and winning four World Series. But as he stood at his locker Sunday, fresh off his 11th loss of this season, Pettitte looked and sounded like he was preparing to be a spectator come playoff time. "I'm looking for a miracle," Pettitte said after the Yankees lost to the Blue Jays on Sunday.

This team doesn't have it. They suck. All you need to know. Pettitte's gone after this season. Doesn't have his stuff anymore.

YES-
overall the pitching was pretty decent this whole year.....
our hitting was abysmal ESPECIALLY int he clutch

As far as Pettite's decline......
That is the REALITY of AGE...
5-10 years ago when the juice was more prevalent...it pushed the normal declines back a few years.
35+ year old ballplayers are over the hill
we need to STOP with these type of players
