Mastroeni to Italy next season?
Regarding Pablo Mastroeni, while there has been interest from Cagliari and some Serie B clubs, word on the street is that any move would not happen until the January 2009 transfer window. My spidey sense places Catania and Palermo on the list of interested clubs as well.

I could see a lower level Serie A team but Serie B sounds more like Pablo.

Serie B sounds more likely

The Serie A love the older players, and can do wonders with them, especially in Milan (where Pablo definitely isn't going). But yeah at 32 with no real accomplishments, Serie B for him.

If he can go to a Serie A team, it would be a dream come true
I hope he lands there

I agree with Pawn. Where is the Bradley signing with B.M. (No way can I type that club's name out)?

p.s. another thing serie a/b has going against it, their website is god awful, probably the worst website of any pro sports league.

he will probably make a little more money. (SOOO many people have an inflated idea of salaries on clubs outside of the top 4 or so in each league and Pablo makes a lot more than average in MLS) he'll face better competition.
If anything it's a move to keep him on the front burner for WC2010. If he can stay on as a regular in a serie A side Bradley would be raped for not picking him. If he rides pine, he makes a little more coin and misses out on the WC. It's a gamble for Pablo but if it pans out for him it pans out for the USMNT which is what I care more about than whether Pablo stays in Colorado or not.

i dont think Mastro is making any more then 200k with Colorado.... i think even the soon-to-be-relegated pay their water boys more then 200k :D
and if Mastro wants to be on the front burner for WC2010 then he'd be better suited to continue at Colorado... constant play there would be more likely to impress Bradley then some sub minutes in italy... i dont see Mastro as a regular there, but rather a decent sub... perhaps getting the nod for cups....

I am so excited about this I am posting it in two places:
One American definitely "living up" to the minimal hype he has gotten is NEVEN SUBOTIC (B Dortmund). for the first time in "forever", I am going to say the following after catching the last number of games he's been involved in, including his performance this past weekend against Bayern and now Cottbus (where he scored): this kid is the real deal. He has been an amazing CB from all I have seen. Where is the hype on this kid? If you get a chance DO NOT MISS watching NEVEN SUBOTIC. This is the first American I have bragged about ever, and the first one that could turn out great enough to play for someone like Bayern Munich, Liverpool, AC Milan, etc etc....Mark my words HERE AND NOW!!!!
I AM IMPRESSED ALL TO HECK--I HAVE TO SAY IT....
HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS KID PLAY THIS YEAR? I WILL NOT MISS ANOTHER DORTMUND GAME THIS YEAR--and nor should you (if you love USA Futbol).

D-WRECK- i posted this in the MB thread, but Subotic has yet to pick the US as his national choice.... after the U20's incident, it seems like he is attempting to ply his trade else where... he's waiting to get his citizenship in Germany, where im guessing he's hoping to play.... even the german coach has stated that he will play for germany if the citizenship goes through... but when that falls short, he's still able to choose serbia before the US..... either way, i wont put stock in this kid till he's donning the red white and blue

If this happens and he plays for Germany, someone at the US Soccer Federation will have to be DRAWN and QUARTERED! I'll fetch the horses myself! This would be the WORST loss ever in history of US Soccer. I thought Rossi was a bad loss. The guy (Subotic) played for the Univ of Florida. How American is that!?!?! Very! Oter please fill me in on the U20 "incident" as you heard it and refer me to any site where I can read about the "uncertainty" of his national team choice. If the USSF has done something to pee-off Subotic, I will publicly flog them for the next three weeks.
