Andrej Meszaros is ready for a new start with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The contract dispute with the Ottawa Senators that helped prompt his trade to the Lightning? No hard feelings.

Tampa will still give up 300+ goals. No D. No goalies. It'll still be interesting i guess. lets see how this game plan works out. I'll have to catch a couple of their games.

Toronto will make the play-offs!

Yeah, the Raptors will make the playoffs. But we're talking hockey here.

Ottawa will go fairly deep in the playoffs this year, possibly bringing the cup back to the East where it belongs!!

Baund-ed has finally captured his nemesis and taken over his avatar!

Poor Bostongm, he was a good lad.

I think Ottawa made a nice trade surprisingly since Bryan Murray is their GM.

You're right BobD, Murray usually likes to get jobbed when he makes trades. Getting that draft pick along with Kuba seems like a good move.

Sheesh! He' only 22! Isn't he like ... a little too young to be looking forward to fresh starts?

I think getting out of the scrutiny of Ottawa may do him some good. Tampa will be less media stress but he's got his work cut out for him there work wise.

Otttawa got the better of this deal. Tampa will still get bombed.

The Leafs will make the play-offs!

I live in Tampa. Will Tampa get more than 31 wins next season? Definately, WIll Tampa make the playoffs? Maybe???? With the additions of Prospal, Vrbata, Kolzig, Stamkos, Malone, Carle, Roberts, Wishart, and Recchi, NO one can argue that they will not be a better team. Tampa will probably lose a lot of games the first couple months of the season. After that they should pick up the speed.

I think Ottawa got the better end of this deal because of Picard and the draft pick. Not because of Kuba. Kuba was overpaid for what he was worth. He gets about 1 hit per night. Ottawa's coach will have his work cut out for him with Kuba. Picard on the other hand will be an excellent player:

Every fan in Tampa is sad to see him go. Picard will be one of Ottawa's top D-men in two years. Congrats.
