T-wolves to draft a Gator
It's a strong bet that one of three Florida players - Al Horford, Corey Brewer or Joakim Noah - will be the Timberwolves' top pick at No. 7 in the June 28 NBA draft. The Wolves were especially impressed with Noah's energy during a recent workout. If the Wolves choose Brewer, they will trade Trenton Hassell.

Brewer or Horford sound good. My head will explode if we draft Noah - he's so mediocre.

Horford will already be gone at #7. Either Noah or Brewer will be available, but probably not both, unless some GM falls in love with the Chinese kid and/or someone springs for Conley early based on need.
I think Noah would be a nice fit and have an immediate impact. The Wolves need offensive rebounding, another big body to set picks and a quality weak side defender. Noah can do all of those things well.
Brewer is probably the better long-term choice, but KG needs to be enticed to stay and Noah can make them a better team in the short term. How is Brewer's defense?
If Conley is still available at #7 maybe they should consider trading the pick to Portland for Pryzbilla, Miles and a future pick.

Noah is so overrated. I think Horford would be best, and Brewer next in line. Just not Noah!

Brewer would be the best choice, even if Horford was available. Garnett dominates the low block, they someone shooting from the outside. Brewer is that guy.

I think Brewer and Horford might be drafted by the time the 7th pick comes around..Noah would be a good pick up for defense but i think they should not over look Al Thorton if he is still around because they could put him at the small forward spot and he can score and rebound pretty well..He is a better offensive player than Noah so he will be better for them.

If Minnesota played in the East, they would dominate. Out West, they are not even the 8th best team if they get any of the three guys mentioned. They need a reliable point guard like Kidd and a slasher like Rashard Lewis. Otherwise, they dont even make the playoffs next year.

KG can't carry a team forever. He is a team playe and thus needs a team arround him to succeed. I hope they get an individual of instant impact in this draft.

Look the best thing we(the T-wolves) could do for ourselves is
1. Trade KG, come on he has carred us too long, the guy deserves a chance to do some winning on a contender, and we could use an overhaul of younge talent
2. Draft Mike Conley Jr., only because I think Horford and Brewer will be gone and our point guards have been &^%$ over the last coulple years.
3. Move to the East, come on a one man team in the final, that is pitiful
4. Jokim Noah is going to be a bust in the NBA, just had to put that in there.

Noah is going to be an absolute bust in the NBA!! To be honest the kid that can help this team the most in the immediate future is Jeff Green out of Georgetown. He might not be the best in the draft at any one facet of the game, but he does everything well from passing to 3-point shooting to scoring with his back to the hoop. Sounds an awful lot like another guy that was drafted last year...Brandon Roy! I think everyone knew that he was going to be a better player than Foye last year except McHale.

I love how all you shmucks are so-called experts, just because you watch college ball or the NBA on tv...or may even own season tickets to a team. Hell, I bet half of you can't even make a lay up. There is a reason why some of these scouts/execs get payed to evaluate talent while you all sit in your cubicle criticizing moves (some may not be doing a great job, but they are still better than your scouting abilities). The draft is a crap-shoot...You don't know what you can get. However, why not bet on talent that has won and has experience. Keep knocking.hating somebody like Noah and he will prove you wrong. The guy is a hard worker and if you aren't looking for an immediate scorer, then pick him up....He is better than a lot of starters on teams out there.

Hey NC, for your information I am a scout for a division 1 basketball program. I think i know a thing or two about evaluating talent, at least a hell of a lot more than you!

For all the Noah and Brewer haters-- never underestimate the heart of a champion. Horford is good, certainly, as were the rest of the starting five of UF (I'm hoping T Green gets on somewhere), but Noah and Brewer, they were THE guys. Whoever gets Noah will be thrilled, comes everyday to play, his teammates love him, does all the things that make you win. He can shoot too, but when you have guys that can shoot 60% behind the arc and set the NCAA record like UF did, you don't get a lot of mid-range chances playing the 4/5. But without a doubt, without Noah, UF would still be searching for a championship in bball. Brewer once he gets a little bigger, and he will, watch out. I know its a reach so early, but he could be a hall of famer. Quick enough to guard the point, and at 6'9'', athletic enough to sky when he gets beat. Imagine him playing against anyone in the league, tomorrow, at 2! Plus he's a great guy, no head case here. When Brewer had good games in college, he destroyed the other teams. And he was at his best against the best. The first championship, he completely disrupted UCLA. Noah was the highlight reel, but Brewer's defense was crushing. The second championship, he was just the MVP (and I thought he had just an avg game for him). Mark my words, whoever gets these two guys (no offense the other UF juniors) will see immediate improvements. Add in Oden and a couple of others, this is a great draft.

Sure thing "Scout". I never claimed I knew more... I am not saying Noah is going to be an all star or a bust. Apparently, you aren't that great of a scout, compared to Billy D. and company who were able to pull that class together (Only Brewer was the McDonalds All American...and UK passed on him).

Joakim Noah is so annoying and overrated, but no one in MN cares much bout this team anymore. McHale has ruined KGs carrer with terrible trades and contracts, and this would just be another stupid move.

At least Oden gets to be the 1st pick.
Noah will just be a crack head. Perhaps LA can make a trade for him, huh? LA can sure use another drama queen biotch like Noah to go along with kry-obe. Along the line of a Shaq quote...one biotch deserves another.
