McCabe needed a change of scenery and the Leafs have improved defensively and in the pocket book.

getting McCabe out ot Toronto was a must. That was a distraction that the clubhouse is better without. I think Van Ryn makes the D stronger in Toronto and I may be nuts (usually thought so by bgm) but I think the Leafs have a chance at making the playoffs...thing is it may be next year

If he wasn't enjoying Toronto, what fun does he think he's going to have playing for this team that may be even worse?

Good, they actually moved him, knock on wood. Atleast Leaf fans no longer have to worry about McCabe's boneheaded passes or watching him try that scissor-hip check thing of his a catch nothing but boards and air. Playoffs are a possibility but we still need more offense.

The Leafs' chances at the play-offs have gone from nil, to the next thing to nil. Getting rid of McCabe is huge for Toronto. They'll be a more defensive club with McCabe gone now.
