Dude - read the article. Why would you call Richard a thug for clubbing and waiting in his car for a lady? Did he do anything to deserve this? You need reevaluate your view of other people....loser.

So, if a man meets a woman at a club/bar and leaves with her then he is displaying the "street" in himself? I love the code words people use.

When we watch girls gone wild, go to mardigra, or Cancun I dont' see anyone asking why they are in a club, but when a black person is in a club and something goes down that is always the first question. They can be in a club becuase they are grown men who make the decision right or wrong to go to the club.

These athletes think they can do whatever and whenever.. there should be curfews and major penalties when this happens and they are hurt and cannot play. Glad he is okay but this gets old.

It takes a real moron to make a statement like that. Being out at 2:30 in the morning isn't a criminal act. No mention of him being drunk or unruly. No indication that he did anything to provoke the shooting.

Yet you have to make a complete idiot of yourself by making such an asinine statement like that. I'd rather hang with a thug than a moron like you anytime

That is true. He might have spent his time a little better. And he should be held responsible by the team if he gets hurt and can't play. It was not his fault someone shot him (at least we dont' think, who knows if the guy who did it knew him or if they had beef). He still has to be smarter with his time.

Part of the problem is that with 24/7 news things like this are always on the news. I was watching a report the other day that said violence is down like 150%, but coverage of violence is up 600%. So while there is less crime, it it being covered more making it seem like there is more crime.

That is the cruelest and dumbest thing I have ever seen on a message board. What will it take to teach you a lesson about being a decent human being? Hopefully it will not take any kind of tragedy to yourself or your loved ones. Hopefully, you will realize it through some act of grace or mercy shown to you.

I would have to agree with you. Why would a stranger just walk up on a car and start shooting without demanding money or the car? The person had to know him or at least have knowledge of him to want him dead. That is my CSI theory. I guess it could be gang related, some gangs that is how you get in to randomly kill someone . . .

Let it also be said that this victim is a guy who, when arrested for driving drunk back in November, could have VERY likely beat the charges due to serious issues with the breathalyzer and the way the officers acted when stopping him, but took 6 months of probation and refused to fight it because he "didn't want the [Jags] to face any negative PR."

He was an irresponsible idiot for the first part of his life, and he was the first to admit that. But in the last year he had made huge strides in changing himself, and every report I've read of everyone who knew him said he was back on the right path. But even so, all of the reports of his negative behavior had nothing to do with hanging out with the wrong crowd; it was a lack of dedication to the game. NOBODY like him deserves to be shot, and I'm definitely crossing my fingers and hoping he recovers from it (though other reports of this don't make it look likely)

First off "hitman", I didn't say any of the above. And I don't use code words. If I think your a ****, I'll say it. If I think your a punk I'll say it. And if I think your wrong, I'll say that too.
