Auburn switching quarterbacks

The Auburn Tigers are switching starting quarterbacks, but coach Tommy Tuberville has hardly declared a winner in the Kodi Burns vs. Chris Todd duel. Todd will get the nod for the ninth-ranked Tigers Saturday against Southern Miss, but Tuberville said Tuesday that was part of the plan even before a leg injury put Burns' status in question. They're just taking turns. Neither did much to resolve the battle in the opener against Louisiana-Monroe, when Burns started and they swapped series most of the game.

Saw this one coming. I dont think that there is a person alive who truly believes that Todd is better than Burns...or that Todd performed better in practice than Burns.....but when they started all of the "QB controversy brewing" talks...I knew Burns was going to get screwed.

This all boils down to Franklin. He promised Todd that he would be his QB at Troy when he was recruiting him. Now Franklin is just honoring his promise at the expense of Burns.

I have a good feeling that this will turn out the same as the VT situation. I mean once Todd starts messing up if he does they will switch over to the young and speedy Burns. Or just start pulling the same thing that put up nearly 500 yards of offense at last years Chic-Fil-A bowl switching in and out depending on the down and distance etc.

I actually like both guys, Todd seems to be more of a passer and Burns is a runner; if I had to pick one it'd definitely be whoever has the most experience
