Castillo staying with Man City

He was supposed to go to Roma. Then he was going to stay at Manchester City. Then Real Betis was calling his name. Now, being that a deal with Betis fell through and being that the transfer window has officially closed, Mexican international Nery Castillo will stay at Eastlands until January. Castillo's agent, Juan Carlos Padilla, has said the 24-year old is quite disappointed about still being in Manchester as he apparently isn't part of their first-team plans. But he will fight for minutes on the pitch, whether he gets them or not.

I think that representing Mexico ruined his career. He would have been better off being known as an "Uruguayan " player in Europe rather than a Mexcian player. His career is going down the toilet. He wont get any playing time in City - there are way to may capable players in front of him.

This is what you get when you fork your own money to get out of a contract. How pathetic. He paid his way out of Shaktar...what a fool!

Yes he grew up in Uruguay and was never conidered to be in Uruguayan Nat. Team so he was so desperate to play for any national side hence....ah! why bother!

We said this yesterday. He's stuck until January. Hopefully then his agent and City can work out a proper transfer to get this guy some playing time again.

Yeah no kidding J, nothing to report till he starts playing and scoring goals with Man City (not likely) or gets his badly needed transfer (January)
T &R no more Nery news till then please, i know for a fact there are a lot more interesting things in the world of futbol going on.

He just needs to keep playing, hopefully he'll get transfered in january to a team he'll play in, so he's ready by the time the world cup starts.

No kidding, That's the Nery Castillo we all want to see making defenders look silly. Hopefully he gets his head straight.
