Virginia quarterback Peter Lalich admits he used marijuana and alcohol while on probation for an underage drinking charge. Charlottesville General District Court documents show Lalich will be charged with failure to obey a court order while on probation. Lalich was arrested on the drinking charge July 13 and was given a deferred judgment provided he completes supervised probation. During a regular probation interview, Lalich admitted on Aug. 26 to using alcohol and marijuana. Lalich is scheduled for a Sept. 26 hearing on the latest charge. Virginia athletic officials declined comment Friday. Lalich started U.Va.'s opener against Southern California last weekend. Virginia hosts Richmond on Saturday.

He has to realize he can't smoke dope and drink and go to work, he's not a surgeon or an airline pilot!

PS: Note to Peter, next time admit nothing you idiot!

I hope the kid gets help.

Hopefully it's a case of peer pressure causing poor judgement and he will grow out of it. He needs to hang out with a different crowd and instead maybe find someone to buy/rent a beautiful home for his parents. But I guess he's not Reggie Bush.

As a student at a rival school of his old high school, I'm laughing like crazy. However it's pretty stupid to both drink and do marijuana while on probation.

Sounds to me like he's ready for the NFL

Alcohol can negatively effect your performance if you drink it often enough. Marijuana will not. If I were a football coach I would recommend using marijuana instead of using alcohol to my players. In fact, I would recommend everyone who currently drinks alcohol to stop and to use marijuana to relax instead. Much less harmful to your body.

My goodness, a college student drinking and smoking weed. That never happens, ever, anywhere. Heaven forbid a kid tries to fit in and have a little fun while he's at college.
