Must-win bout for Liddell?

The road will end at "The Pit", the same gym where it all began for Chuck Liddell. The gym, just beyond the stone wall that faces Grand Avenue, is where Liddell first drove up on his motorcycle 17 years ago. It's where he started denting a punching bag and working out on a sweat-stained wrestling mat. Just as some began to wonder if Liddell had lost his edge, he silenced the critics last December, winning a unanimous decision against Wanderlei Silva in Las Vegas. Liddell (21-5) said he didn't approach that fight as a must-win, but the victory probably prevented him from dropping to undercard status. He's scheduled to headline UFC 88 on Saturday night in Atlanta, taking on Rashad Evans (11-0-1) in the three-round main event. A victory would move Liddell closer in his bid to re-claim the light-heavyweight crown, currently held by Forrest Griffin. A loss could put him out of the running for good.

Out for good? I don't know about that. He still sells. But he'll have to win 2 or 3 in a row to get another shot. Anyways...we don't have to worry about that because he's not losing to Evans.

If he wins, it will be 2 in a row. Is that enough, scary first guy(RobertMenn-)?

1 loss? No, but he needs to win if he wants a shot at Griffin.

YODA, do you have a problem with what I said, you little green turd. Liddell might want to fight one more fight so our last memory of him isn't looking like a corpse on the mat for 5 minutes after being brutally KO'd, but his time is over. He'll never be at the championship level again...too many guys have come up that are more well-rounded and more importantly, YOUNGER and FASTER! I don't want to see him keep getting KO'd and end up a vegetable like Joe Frasier and Muhammad Ali.
