A Joe Gibbs Racing spokesman said team officials were discussing options for when Joey Logano's Cup debut would occur and in what vehicle. Hall of Fame Racing, a JGR ally, had previously announced Logano would run that team's #96 Toyota next weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In the tradition of the sport all drivers shuld run in the lower series for several years to prove themselves worthy to drive for the cup. Since letting these premadonna's run and not prove themselves we have to protect them from themselves and install rules to make the cars safer and slow them down so they can handle the cars. Make the BOY run a couple of years at least in the BUSCH series.

JGR is going to be awful with 3 punks

Of course they aren't going to let him run the #96....it is a piece of junk. Why burst the kids bubble in a pig. Start him off in a quality ride so we can acurately see how he performs in the big time. If he fails in cuality machinery maybe they will reconsider their plan to bring him up.

Gibbs run out of pampers.

September 7, 2008  11:20 AM ET

Let him start with crap, then we can see if he can drive. Give the scooby van that Schrader would get stuck with.

Scooby Van.....now that is funny!

I'm not so sure that any driver should get his NASCAR debut in the last race before the chase. What if makes a fool mistake and takes out Ragan or Bowyer? He can wait a little.

Rickapolis, I totally agree these new guys need that experience in the lower bracket. But, Nascar Needs the excitement sense the COT car hasn't brought any to the Cup.

yep, payback is a ****. loved every second of it.. i wonder if kyle bush is starting to realize he pissed way too many people off, getting punted in 2 of the last 3 weeks

September 7, 2008  03:04 PM ET

Kyle is a good driver. to bad he has that messed up cocky attitude. Now lets see how he takes the rest the race. He has got to know that people are only going to take so much $hit before they get real tired of it.

September 7, 2008  03:08 PM ET

This is awesome. kyle is spending more time going backwards than forwards.

September 7, 2008  03:09 PM ET

lol, and he spins again.. love it

September 7, 2008  03:10 PM ET

Maybe they should put a TOM-TOM in kyle car to remind him which way to go.

September 7, 2008  04:28 PM ET

did something happen after the race? i heard tony jr on dale jr's radio saying "lets stay calm, nobody do anything stupid".. like kyle busch rammed him or something

September 7, 2008  04:38 PM ET

not sure, I didnt hear that

September 7, 2008  06:25 PM ET

Well, at least we have parity in Nascar. 3 drivers each from Gibbs, Roush, Hendricks and Childress in the Chase. The big get bigger and the weak fall to the side .

September 7, 2008  09:05 PM ET

I didn't hear anyting svt. We'll have to listen to 'NASCAR Now' to find out I guess.
