Knucklehead Elijah Dukes had to be restrained from going after Mike Pelfrey, stuck his tongue out at the Shea Stadium crowd, then finally incited the fans by waving his arms and blowing kisses to their chorus of boos. It was Dukes at his petulant worst. After Dukes hit a second-inning solo shot, Pelfrey came inside on his next pitch to Dukes in the fourth, his pitch sailing right by Duke's midsection. Dukes started yelling at Pelfrey and stepped toward the mound with the bat

He should play for the Falcons.

This guy has always had self discipline problems, needs desensitized therapy. First you show him a picture of John Rocker, then a picture of the NY subway system, then......

What's the over/under on how many teams that take a chance on this jerk before his career is over.

The Nationals are the last stop on that train.

These kids are treated like they can do no wrong from the second they show they can hit a ball better then the other kids. It's only going to get worse until one of them gets thrown out of the league. But if Milton Bradley hurting his knee while being restrained doesn't get the point home nothing will.

Holy tantrum Batman! Knucklehead is right!

September 11, 2008  08:31 AM ET

Good for him. The idiot pitcher threw at him..i'd be pissed too.

September 11, 2008  08:37 AM ET

The best part of the whole thing is AFTER Dukes tried to play "tough guy", Pelfrey beaned him during the next at bat.

September 11, 2008  08:45 AM ET

He should have beaned him in the head.

2 Nationals rumors in a row! We have arrived. Unfortunately they relate to the team's lack of a reliable first baseman and the talented but uncontrollable RF.

Yes, it is easier in this format to spot the fakers. I'll put that in the "pro" column.

Yea, here that. I mean Elijah Dukes? Come on, just invokes thuggery. I also like Fingerlickun Goode, or Capme Glock, or even Steala Lexus.
