As Barcelona gear up for their first home game of the season against Racing Santander tonight, manager Pep Guardiola has decided to pull a last minute surprise by leaving out Thierry Henry. After Barcelona's disappointing 1-0 loss to Numancia last weekend the Frenchman was singled out for being particularly unimpressive and he has now been dropped altogether from the squad to play Racing tonight.

where could he end up? I cant see him going back to the EPL. Maybe Milan? they seem to like aging strikers past their prime.

did anyone catch the game on goltv. henry was not the problem, numacia got an early goal and then locked down, ridiculous decision, plus messi and xavi shanked at least 2 good chances each

Man this sucks why don't Barc just transfer him back to Arsenal where he is a legend there. I think it time for barc to rethink there attacking strategy. He's better as alone striker.

Barca needs to quit hogging players they have no plans of using. Let him go, apparently you don't want him. Henry doesn't seem delighted to be there either.
Listen...is that MLS I hear?

What's wrong with Barca? So much firepower and haven't been able to score

no more Deco and Messi is hoggin the offense, Henry and Eto and paid to put the ball in the net, let 'em

immeditaley pep announced he had no intentions to include the big three(Ronaldinho,Deco,Eto.o) in his squad,i knew he was destined for failure but what i was not to sure of is how long it will take for this failure to come.I think droping Henry is only one of the indicators that pep guardiola will take barca no where.

I hear the MLS, but it is a shallow whisper, at least for another 2-3 years. This guy is still really good, just stuck in a bad system for the type of player he is. I can't really see him back at Arsenal though, even though he has made it known how much he still loves the team. It will be interesting to see what happens.
