Rosenhaus: Boldin would love Miami trade

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said by phone that though ''the Dolphins would be a dream, one of the favorite scenarios'' for Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin, who faces Miami Sunday and has requested a trade, Rosenhaus doesn't have permission to shop Boldin and ''I don't know if the Dolphins have interest.'' The Cardinals insist they will not trade Boldin, who's signed through 2010 and wants more money.

Rosenhaus is a D-bag!

September 14, 2008  09:59 AM ET

"Dear Drew. Listen closely. We are not trading him. Our dream is that he will play the best he can to earn the contract you negotiated for him and he is still under."...Have a great day, Arizona Football Cardinals.

All one had to read was that his agent is Drew Rosenhaus and go no further. What do these super agents not get about a signed contract, does a signature mean nothing to them?

September 14, 2008  10:07 AM ET

Drew's telling him to run the Shockey route.

September 14, 2008  10:09 AM ET

The Arizona Cardinals are only hurting themselves by not trading for him and trying to get some value they can use right now, like some defense.

September 14, 2008  10:11 AM ET

The issue here, again, is that the Cardinals promised a re-worked deal and then pulled a "sike!" on Boldin. I can't believe anyone is defending the Cardinals organization with their record of dealing with anything in the NFL.

10 million dollars and a harem of supermodel girlfriends is a dream too. Don't mean it has to come true....unfortunately...really unfortunately.

September 14, 2008  10:31 AM ET

Bidwell is the worst owner in the NFL.

September 14, 2008  11:06 AM ET

i've lost alot of respect for boldin. every week its going to be the same, "i'd be willing to play for that team"
its also a bit of an assumption that the Fins would be willing to pay him what he wants.
whos to say if someone does pay him, in 2 years he will'nt be bitching again because others will have passed his pay scale.

September 14, 2008  11:18 AM ET

NFL owners should just stop negotiating with any player represented by Drew Rosenhaus. Maybe that'll lead his clients into getting different agents. Drew Rosenhaus... Scott Boras.... these guys represent everything thats wrong with the sport.

And Boldin is just pissed Fitzgerald is making more than he is. He's still got several years left on his deal, so why worry about getting a new deal before your current deal is even close to being up? Why? Because you want more money. Drew has gotten in your ear with that **** talk you see from your friends girlfriend. "Why aren't you getting that $? You're twice the player Larry is!" Its comical but really pathetic that grown men allow themselves to be manipulated by people who don't get a rats **** about their well being and are only using them to make money off their talent.

September 14, 2008  11:19 AM ET

you guys are all dumb, he deserves the money, look at the friggen numbers he has put up even with fitzgerald on the team, i hope he does go to miami, of course speaking as a dolphins fan

September 14, 2008  11:27 AM ET

What Boldin needs to do is honor his contract.

he may deserve the money, but do the other 52 players deserve to have their season defined by one player. every week this is all we will be talking about in regaurds to the cardinals.

September 14, 2008  11:42 AM ET

It doesn't matter if he deserves the money, the point is he has a signed contract to play for "X" amount of dollars. MATTUSA made a good point, what about the other players? How about the guy that threw him the ball, or blocked for the QB?

September 14, 2008  11:56 AM ET

Parcells could deal with 'the player' T.O., you think he's ready for Boldin? Come on, Rosenhaus, talk to Jerry Jones!!!

September 14, 2008  12:10 PM ET

*shrug* the NFL would love to trade Rosenhaus to the CFL too. like either of this wishes will come true.

September 14, 2008  12:24 PM ET

I'm sure anyone would want to move from Arizona to Miami unless your over 65 and retired.

Have you heard of Al Davis?

September 14, 2008  01:36 PM ET

Wonderful, these d-bags hold-out of training camps when they're drafted so that they can get the mega payday, then, when one of their co-workers gets a pay raise, they immediately insist that their current contract is no longer fair and needs to be increased...hmmm, well, let's see now, Drew is the one that negotiated your last deal in '05' so if you think it's unfair, then maybe you need to curb your agent instead of threatening your team. Pretty funny considering you miss an average of 3 games a year due to injury...so why not just honor the contract and quit letting Drew whisper in your ear...either that or just change your name to Drews Bich, then you and Ocho Doucho can start your own freakin team and have Rosenwhore as your coach.
