Ridgleand's Michael Bowman, arguably the state's top prospect at wide receiver, told the AJC he committed to Alabama on late Saturday night. Bowman said that he met with Alabama's coaches and told them of his decision after the win over Western Kentucky. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Bowman committed to Alabama over LSU and Oregon, among a dozen offers.

What does that leave Bama with now? 3 open scholarships? So nice to be able to pick and choose.

That game in Atlanta was one of the best ideas to come out of Tuscaloosa in years. I hope they are smart enough to follow it up next year against VT. The publicity was phenomenal and look at the commitments that they raked in from that area.

Hopefully they can put him to good use now

Don't be mad cause LSU couldn't hold on to Saban. Miles will show his true colors after he stops riding off of Sabans recruits.

He already has shown his true colors. Great recruiter, better public figure, better coach, better leader, less of a prick, dedication, loyalty, trustworthy, less obnoxious, should I keep going?

Miles sure did a great job coaching up the talent that was here when he got here, and bringing in his own pieces. And considering only 10 guys were on the team last year that Saban recruited, that pretty much kills your stupid idea.

What's funny is you paid 4 million dollars for a coach that improved your season results by ONE game, with the same players as the previous year.

Bama is on the mend... Give Saban another year and Alabama will consistently compete for a National Championship... LSU's and Les Miles's worst nightmare...

All the negative whining from LSU fans is just an indication of how nervous they are... and for good reason.

Sleep well guys....

UL Monroe is shaking in their boots too

September 15, 2008  02:00 PM ET

Didnt ya'll barely beat Tulame last week too?

Yeah long way to go Bama, long way to go.

September 15, 2008  02:00 PM ET

*Tulane

September 15, 2008  02:17 PM ET

Ha, Tulame is kind of funny if you didnt like Tulane. Hey LSUDYNASTY, have you heard of what Nick Saban was about to do couple weeks ago? Evacuate his team because he heard that Russia invaded Georgia, and was heading down south.

September 15, 2008  03:32 PM ET

LOL

I do expect Bama to fall off a bit after their hot start. But it makes the SEC look that much better with 5 teams in the top 10. But can you really ever root for Bama? Ever? I cant. I would much rather see Miss St finish 3rd in the SEC West than Bama, but looks like that wont happen.

September 15, 2008  05:00 PM ET

Oh look.. LSUDYNASTY has multiple posts in a story about Alabama and Nick Saban. What a shocker.

Seriously, good luck with the trip to auburn this week. If the refs don't try to **** out of the game like they've been known to do, I would figure LSU could outscore the auburn offense.

les miles is so good with talent he gets 2 losses a year with the best team nick saban will have alabama in the hunt for #1 next year while lsu will go back to be #2 behind alabama

September 16, 2008  03:30 AM ET

This is to mr lsudynasty.when did two national championships 50 yrs apart become a dynasty? When you spend that much time hatin on us, it just proves that you`re petty and you`re scared. With a name like Les Miles, your coach should a been a used car dealer.I can`t predict the future nor can anyone else, but as much as people like you talk about us,ol Nick must be doing something right. You people should be grateful to Saban for putting your sorry **** back on track. You had what 3 straight losing seasons before he came along?Just wave as we blow by.

September 16, 2008  03:37 AM ET

I really hope you guys like Les Miles and keep him around as long as those dumass Tennessee fans have held on to fatboy. One nc early, followed by a dozen years of mediocrity, yeehaw.
