Fisher disputes Young's suicide report

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher disputed some details of a police report that described Vince Young's tumultuous day last Monday, and said he wasn't the person who put forth concerns about the quarterback committing suicide. Fisher said he's not worried about how Young will react to intense scrutiny, and that it would be good for him to play behind Kerry Collins for a while. The police supplement report obtained by numerous media outlets Friday had a number of inaccuracies, Fisher said, including that Young was at LP Field "going off with a gun.'' And the coach said it was Young's marketing manager, Mike Mu -- not psychologist Sheila Peters -- who had concerns about the quarterback contemplating suicide. The police report said Fisher indicated to police that Young "mentioned suicide several times'' after talking to Peters. Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron acknowledged the time listed on the report and the information about Young being at LP Field were incorrect in the initial report.

TnR is looking more and more like a bad soap opera.

Anybody who thinks that when this guy comes back, that the atmosphere in the locker room will be back to normal is nuttier that Young.
The team can't go forward with him after this.
Texas loves him, get what you can from them even if its a coupon for a free dinner at the longhorn steakhouse.

The Titans seems to be a much better team with Kerry Collins as the "triggerman". Vince "Cain't nobody tell me nothin'" Young has no experience with dealing with wholesale adversity and has reacted to it as one would imagine.

Hey T&R, yesterday was Sunday. Do you know what happens on Sundays? Yeah, football games happen on Sundays. Can we have some threads that are somewhat related to the games yesterday?

Of course Fisher will defend Young he has no choice. Even though he did not want Vince they chose him anyway and essentially are stuck with Vince. Although if the Titans had picked Leinart (Fisher and Norm Chow wanted him) they might not be in a better situation. Neither Vince not Leinart appear to want to put in the time and work it takes to become a good NFL QB. Doubt that comment? See the pictures of each partying that have been posted.

I agree, neither QB's seem like they are putting in the time, especially when you consider their performance on the field.

He can take his sweet time licking his emotional wounds, while old vet Kerry Collins does his thing and win games!! GO TITANS!!

P. Manning studies playbooks and practices with WR's during the off-season. VY starts a record company and focuses on sighing yet another gangsta rap "artist." One collects MVP's; one fakes injuries. VY has a better chance of becoming the next P. Diddy than the next Warren Moon or Steve McNair. Our franchise deserves better!!!! So long LOOSER!! GO TITANS!!
