Blue Jackets prospect Nikita Filatov has a hairline fracture in a fibula, multiple sources told The Dispatch. The Blue Jackets would not confirm the report. It's believed that Filatov was injured last month while playing an exhibition game with his former club in Russia. He played three games for CSKA-2 before the Blue Jackets found out and asked him to stop. The injury, which was revealed in a physical Friday in Columbus, is almost healed, sources said. If it were the regular season, Filatov might be allowed to play.

Bowl cut? Check
Goofy grin? Check
Stupid enough to jeopardize his NHL career by playing meaningless exhibition games for another team? Check.
Endorsement opportunities? ...Well if you mean, more for EVERYBODY ELSE, then yes, CHECK.

Nikita Brittleatov. Just another soft Ruskie. Came over here to get it looked after properly. Probably didn't trust his kommarade-doctors in Russia.

So...he played 2 games before the Blue Jackets asked him to stop.
Yet...it is believed he was injured in the 3rd game which was after he was asked to stop...
Should have listened to your elders there sonny.

Maybe they shouldn't have taken the training wheels off his bike so soon. Is it me or does this kid look like he's about 10 years old?

Not to be trusted. They all smoke over there. Even the cardiologists.

Dude...it's 2008...head to the DVD store and soon. You wont regret it as it's a great movie and you can get rid of the Dopey avatar sometime in the future.

The fibula is a non weight bearing bone,, shouldn't even be a problem. Sure the bone could hurt a little but over all will not hamper his playing ability.

You must be This Tall to ride this ride.
