Friday's Pistons trade of Carlos Delfino cleared $1.86 million from next year's books and opened a spot for a backup swingman. The Pistons have interest in speaking with at least one -- former Piston Grant Hill -- when he becomes a free agent from Orlando on July 1.

I "believe" that G. Hill owes Orlando some playing time.

I heard this trade of Delfino, and I was somewhat dissapointed. But I guess Dumars did the right thing by trading him. He wasn't too great of a shooter nor a defender. But, as I've been thinking about this Hill possible Acquirement, I've come to the conclusion that I would rather like to see him back as a piston. Of course everyone knows he's had 5 surgeries on his ankle, but he says ("says") he's feeling the best he ever has since his injuries. PLus, with the pistons Trainers/doctors/etc... he should be just fine. He also will definitely not be a starter. So acguiring him for a low/cheap price sounds damn good to me.

As DetroitDan said.... I'll buy a Hill jersey when they go on sale as well. IF he comes here that is.

What is the amount of games missed compared to games Orlando had him?? He should donate half of that money to New Orleans, if not NYC victims families.
Hill should be ashamed ... it's worse than C Webber!

if Hill goes to Detroit he'd be the perfect fit for that squad. coming off the bench he could give them 13 ppg and be a good leader in that locker room.

btw...does anyone know in Chauncey is a free agent this yr?

detroit is going cheap, thats why they always get broken pieces...mcdyess, webber and now hill...no wonder they get run out in the playoffs, tired legs....

Is it just me or wasn't the reason Grant had a million surgeries is because the PISTONS forced him back onto the court after telling him his ankle was only bruised and did NOT require surgery? I still remember the last game he played as a Piston...him going down awkward in that playoff game and limping off the court. Detroit needs more than Grant as a role player, they need a new COACH and some athleticism. Plus Grant may end up in San Antonio, LA, Phoenix or NY...he would help all of the above especially if he only has to play 20-25 minutes. A good pickup for WHOEVER signs him. Class all the way. Oh and it isnt his fault he got hurt, misdiagnosed, suffered a staff infection which almost forced him to amputate his foot. The man is as good a guy as you can find and was one of the top 5 guys in the league pre-ankle gate. Do your research.
