Figgins' injury not healing properly

An Angels infield that was already in a state of flux because of an injury to second baseman Howie Kendrick and some uncertainty surrounding shortstop Erick Aybar became even more fluid Wednesday. Third baseman Chone Figgins will return to Southern California this morning for X-rays and an MRI test on his right elbow, which was hit by a Carl Pavano fastball Sept. 8 and remained too sore Wednesday for him to play the field. The playoffs begin in two weeks for the Angels, who clinched the American League West title last week, and a healthy Figgins would go a long way toward solidifying the team's infield.

Just sit this boy and let another one play. Pleeeze. He is not that important and just put another idiot out there who can field.

Is it just me or does he look like Beetlejuice from the Howard Stern show?

Bond 007, you have no idea what you are talking about, Figgins is plain and simple a gamer. Any manager would love to have 15 of him. He can play almost any position on the diamond save for the mound but his arm isn't *that* bad.

Hope Chone heals well and is back out there feeling 100%. He's one of those players who is fun to watch and one of the most valuable cogs for the Angels.

Too bad- I could have used some more steals in my fantasy baseball team...

They probably should have tried harder to get Eckstein from the Jays when they were talking about it a few weeks ago.

Do Chone stand for nationar anthem?? He brack right?

It would be nice to see Eckstein back with the Angels. His attitude suits the team.

Pavano continues to prove he's a hazard to himself and others. Be nice if he just took his unearned money and disappeared. I shudder to think some team will probably still take a chance on him next season despite his sorry history

Friggin Figgins

He's not really productive during the playoffs anyway. He's a great fill-in guy that will win you regular season games.

The Angels going through "deja vu " for another year. I'm glad we get to kick their arse in the playoffs once again !!!
