Tomlinson's status uncertain

Maybe the fantasy geeks should be worried after all. With his toe injury lingering, LaDainian Tomlinson sat out Wednesday's short practice as the winless San Diego Chargers began preparing for their home game against Brett Favre and the New York Jets on Monday night. Tomlinson, who has yet to find his way into the end zone this season, said his jammed right big toe isn't as sore as it has been, but he didn't sound overly confident.

I sure hope we're not witnessing the end of his consistent effectivity as an NFL running back.

Just what the Chargers need, some bad news.

0-3?

Good Lord, he looks homeless.....

I doubt a toe is going to ruin this legends effective career. A knee... maybe...

HA! Hey Weapon. Hows it going?!!!

This hurts the Chargers, but I hope they pound Brett and the Jets

This is and has been the best player in the NFL for a solid 5 years. If he is a little banged up, and being they have the extra day because its monday night, they are probably being safe with him. He'll rip it on Monday night, and Sproles will back him up and make some good plays with the extra action he will be seeing over the next few weeks till LT is 100%

yuk Toe jam!

September 18, 2008  12:17 PM ET

Figures this would happen the year I get him on my team.

September 18, 2008  12:27 PM ET

" fantasy geeks?".......Is that not better than being a geek with a fantasy?..hmmm? got to think on that one...
Regardless, I am thinking of a NFL sponsored program..... How about this?
HOODIES FOR THE HOMELESS.....
I like it, team logos and everything...this has a future.

Turf toe is no laughing matter; in some ways just as bad as a QB with a jammed finger on throwing hand. Would like to see him get better, great to watch. Am a bit sickened of the Vizio commercial and the "whacked" uniform he is sporting.

50,
as for Hoodies for the homeless..... is CHarming "Mr Personality" I'm nice to everyone Bellichek going to lead that little project?

September 18, 2008  02:11 PM ET

The Chargers could very well be 2-0, even with LT's "deion sanders" toe. One thing is sure, LT will not be the #1 pick next year among the "fantasy geeks". Mark my words!

hes a **** if he doesnt play.
