Stop reading between the lines and start reading the sentances MOST of you THOUGHT you knew what was going on. Jr. is a above average driver, A Saint he ain't ! I'm a Junior fan 100%, and despite the fact that he signed on to be teammates with those other two whimp bags, I understand he is going to a team who has proven they have it together. No one can argue they are and have been the team to beat. But one thing is for sure, I'll never route for the 24 or the 48 to win, never, and you can bet that neither of them will be willing to help him win a race either, as they don't help each other now. Junior will be as popular as ever. I only hope he can put together a few good races, ( wins) and be a legitimate contender to win it this year just to rub it in his eveil step-monsters face, wouldn't it be nice!!!!

This tells you a lot about the problems with Jr and DEI, His sister is going in for surgery and it is not Theresa they turn to and she does not make arrangements to take care of the family, Hendrick does.

Foxman, you need to go back to your foxhole of backwoods Louisiana and keep your mouth shut. You have no idea what you are talking about. Rick Hendrick has been a friend of the Earnhardt family for years and have helped those kids cope with the death of their father. At least someone was there who knew what they were going thru and they could have someone to talk to. As far as Junior racing for him, good for him. I'd follow him to the ends of the earth because of what he stands for. Good 'ole boy racing. He's going to have the best given to him and I surely hope he's able to prove to everyone just how good he is. I didn't care where he went, just as long as he was able to do what he wants and get away from his father's shadow.

If anything, I think this little tidbit of information just proves that Junior wasn't lying when he said that an owner that cares about him is more important than the money he'd earn somewhere other than DEI.

With his sister ill, who was it that helped make that process as painless as it could be? Teresa? Jr's owner and stepmother? You'd think it would be her, but apparently not. If I was in Junior's shoes and Mr. H was showing me that kind of support as just a friend and not an employee and family member, then I'd want to work for him, too, even if it was just sweeping floors.

I admit, it's going to be tough, because for years I've had the anti-HMS mentality - it's always fun to hate the Dark Side, afterall - but now our boy is driving for them. As far as me being against Gordon...no. I'm just a little partial to family. Gordon is an excellent driver and has changed and grown up considerably over the last 2 years. By the way, congratulations on the new addition to the family.

Jr will look good in a Pepsi car....in yrs past came up with awesome schemmes for JG so can only wonder what they'll do with Jr.....I still feel JG will go to part-time racing like mark and JR will take over the 24ride....
