Car owner Richard Childress was unable to sign Dale Earnhardt, Jr., but his team is hardly hurting as is. The car owner said Saturday that like a lot of car owners in the garage, he's very interested in talking with newly minted free agent Kyle Busch, possibly for a long-rumored fourth Richard Childress Racing car.

Ofcourse because Kyle became even more famous throughout Nascar. He became known as "that guy who lost his job to Jr".

Anyhow Kyle is going to win more races and the owners know it. Each owners knows if they could just rope in some maturity with Kyle they could have a champion.

Unfortunately there has been very little luck with Kurt so who knows how Kyle will turn out.

Good luck Childress...hope you get him. If someone could settle a crazy driver down its certainly you that has the experience.

JG--I agree with you. Childress was the guy who took a chance on Robby Gordon as well. And while that might not have come off as a rousing championship success, Robby Gordon IS now an owner-driver of a single car team, and he's in the top 35, and I would guess he learned a few things at RCR. Also, Jeff Burton has become a fixture there; he's a disciple of the "Mark Martin Racing Method," which totally embraces the Golden Rule. He and Kyle Busch have a very good on-track relationship, and Burton could be what helps settle Shrub down. Kevin Harvick goes on about what a great teammate and calming influence that Burton is. I'm sure RC has a feel for what his team would be like with Kyle Busch in the fold, and what kind of driver Kyle could become. There's no doubt the kid is an amazing talent; it just remains to be seen if he can be settled down and if his reputation can be repaired.

In reading the prior posts, I have to kinda-sorta agree with what has been written. The problem.......Kyle Busch is a very talented 22 year old who acts his age. I'd hate to see the kid judge by the antics of his brother, NASCAR Champion or not. I can see some real problems should RCR pick him up and those problems mostly lie in Kevin Harvick. Now I like Kevin and even Kyle when he's driving up to his abilities. But I'd hate to see two teammates going at it on the track. Yeah I know these guys are supposed to be "professionals", but can you image two hard heads like Harvick and Kyle Busch going at it on the track? Richard Childress could have his hands full BIG TIME, just keeping them in line. Kevin's comments (or insinuations) thus far about Kyle have been less than respectful so hiring Kyle at Childress could be a real challenge and hassle. But then as MJM points out, he hired Robby Gordon who can mix it up with the best of em. This should be interesting to say the least.
