Clemens heartbroken over Yankee Stadium snub

Estranged former Yankee Roger Clemens was "heartbroken" when his former team left him out of Sunday night's Stadium-farewell festivities, which included a video montage honoring the Bronx Bombers' greatest pitchers - but not him, a relative told The Post yesterday. Clemens was sitting at home in hurricane-ravaged Texas, in front of a battery-operated television on his living room couch, when the team delivered a final crushing blow to its former star. Clutching wife Debbie's hand on one side and mother-in-law Jan Wild's on the other, Clemens tuned in to his final team's last home game hoping for some recognition for helping win two World Series titles, Wild said. But that Rocket never launched. When the team played the video celebrating its greatest players at every position, the steroid-scandal-scarred Clemens was nowhere to be seen. "Debbie and I held his hand while we watched the game, and he was heartbroken," said Wild, 70. "Not mad. He still loves baseball and the Yankees, but it was sad what they did to him."

Doesn't this lame turd understand that the entire world basically looks at him as if he is a soory soul. Pity the liar. What an iduiot. Still in denial. Made his mother look like a idiot for raising one and his family......what a bunch of fakes.

What's sad is what Roger and other steroid users did to baseball.

Boohoo. Clemens, you're on the black list right now buddy. They won't invite you to anything right now. Well, maybe to some kids 9th birthday party on Chucky Cheese.

Get over it, your really a Red Sock anyway, so go cry over Schilling's shoulder.

September 23, 2008  07:08 AM ET

It's okay Rocket, you can use some steroids to mend that broken heart.

September 23, 2008  07:11 AM ET

ya kinda have to feel bad for the guy. i mean knoblach(sp?) was shown and he was on the mitchell report and pettite was pitching for crying out loud and he was in the mitchell report. although his numbers are in question he still was a yankee when they won a few championships and a cy young. that being said, build a bridge and get over it you crybaby!

September 23, 2008  07:51 AM ET

"There's a tear in my beer, and I'm crying for you dear....."

HA! What was the alternative Mr. Clemens? You show up, get the "BOOO" of the decade and ruin the party for everyone.....

September 23, 2008  07:58 AM ET

Ahhhh, get over it. I still don't get the big deal with the stadium. It's a baseball field?? Thousands of baseball games were won, or lost.....whoopdie freakin doooo!! Should we encase the building in plexi-glass so it can be preserved for all eternity?? Maybe they could build a museum around the stadium so 1,000 of years from now, people could see where we used to play.............wait for it........."baseball"

Weeeeeeeeee

Well- at least I found the place everyone will be hanging out today...

September 23, 2008  08:03 AM ET

He must of left his needles hidden under the pitchers mound

Three well-known alcoholics (Billy Martin, Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth) (and how many more?) were given acolades and represented by a daughter and two look-alike sons, so why not include Roger Clemens? Many fan/parents out there tolerate addictions and obsessions from family members they supposedly love, allow their teenagers to smoke pot, drink beer and cater to if not encourage internet obsessions - so my question is who is the bigger hypocrite?
Clemens, despite his weaknesses, should have been included.

What is Debbie Clemens still doing in the same house with that guy?? $$$$$$??

HA HA!!!

September 23, 2008  08:20 AM ET

Well, he shouldn't have cheated, lied, and disgraced the game of baseball. This guy just doesn't get it!

September 23, 2008  08:20 AM ET

What a joke. Roger, you've had a pretty good run for a cheater. Be happy they let you watch on TV.

September 23, 2008  08:30 AM ET

Is this tool so out of touch that he really expected to be included?

On the other hand, the Yankees not only included the other cheating liar in the festivities, they ley him start the game!
