Rutgers sticking with Teel at QB

It took only one word Monday for Rutgers coach Greg Schiano to defuse any potential quarterback controversy for Saturday's game against Morgan State. Asked at his weekly press conference if Mike Teel was still the starter, Schiano simply answered "yeah," and then began searching the room for the next question. So Teel, the embattled fifth-year senior, will make his 30th consecutive career start this weekend -- though that doesn't guarantee there won't be any drama involving the position.

They need to work in their other QB's against Morgan State this weekend. They need to see what they got behind Teel.

Teel won't be there next year, so they need to see who is ready to step up. While the season is not lost, they need to see who else can play. Chris Paul-Ettiene would be my first choice.

Why aren't more people upset by this behavior? At the very least this guy should be suspended for some period of time! HE HIT HIS OWN TEAM MATE! You just shouldn't be allowed to do that and get away with it with no consequences.

Sure, why not? It has been working for them so far. O wait a second....

Maybe they think they need someone at quarterback with a thugs mentality.

Good point. Chris Paul-Ettiene would be my choice too. Good news is that the kid Savage from Philadelphia is coming next season, however they need to find someone for this season.

It's not Teel.

Greg Schiano is an imbecile. He's gone from a hot commodity to a guy that will be fired by Reuters in 3 years.

I think this showed the over-ratedness of RU the last few years (including that one 11-2 year)... they haven't done anything since then, and have been a huge flop... Schiano is overrated and got a massive vote of confidence for essentially being a one hit wonder

Maybe he's overlooking this season and thinking about next season at Penn State.
